OT: Best Way to get Ohio State Tickets?

I know its really early but hey I'm excited for next year and the opportunity to watch Tech at the Shoe. Does anyone know when Ohio State tickets will start to become available (I'm assuming it's still months from now) and do we have to go through VT to get them, or will Ohio State's box office have some available (I'm used to trying to get Eagles tickets and them being gone in like 5 minutes as you try and refresh your page at the right time) or will I be faced with the crazy markup of the secondary market. I guess part of my question is "is anyone familiar with OSU tickets/how fast they sell/best way to get them"

I'm also looking to get tix to that game. Can't wait!

here is information about 2013 for reference.

Public Single Game Tickets
Single game football tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 26th at 10am. We recommend logging on to purchase tickets when the on sale begins as inventory for some games may be limited. To purchase single game football tickets, please go to ohiostatebuckeyes.com/tickets , scroll down to and click on BUY SINGLE GAME TICKETS.

For the 2013 football season, individual game tickets will be $79 each (plus any applicable fees), with the exception of the Premier Game vs. Wisconsin. Tickets for the Premier Game vs. Wisconsin will be $110 each (plus any applicable fees). As an alternative, season ticket holders who cannot attend a game may post them for re-sale on Buckeyes Ticket Exchange where the seller sets the asking price.

just read your disclaimers for the first time...not sure how long they've been up..but....LEG!

So do we assume VT will be a premier game and sell for 110?

I think it will sell out. VT typically travels fairly well. The Horseshoe is a pretty desirable stadium for a lot of fans to visit. OSU's band is one of the best in the land and will be really cool to see. I'm planning on attending that game, and one of the big reasons is because it's a once in a life time opportunity to go to a game at the Horseshoe. I hate OSU pretty much more than any football team in America (save for half of the SEC...also, no offense Jsketch) so unless the Hokies are playing there I'll never go.

Michigan game is in CBUS so that will likely be one. I think i read somewhere they can add a second premier game so it is possible

Best way to get tickets would probably be to contact Jim Tressel or Terrelle Pryor...or I am sure you could arrange some type of tattoo for ticket exchange with current players.

VHokie

How does getting tickets through the Hokie Club for away games work? I am a member, but there are probably only like 14 people ranked lower than me. Is that my best bet?

if you're a Hokie club member you should get something in the mail for you to fill out which away games you want tickets to...

Depending on the location of the game and the fact that the horseshoe is generally sold out you might be out of luck as a new Hokie Club member. In the past some games have been restricted to gold club level and above for buying tickets through the school.

I will be getting as many tickets as I can for that game. I am driving up to meet fellow Hokies who actually live in Columbus, Oh. They don't get down here as much as they would like for regular games.

Best way to get tickets is to bring a wad of $20's and be ready to spend them. This is a once in a lifetime game; best make it an early Christmas present to yourself.
