"Secret" Scrimmages

Known sports media fool Jeff Goodman posted his list of "not-so-secret" preseason scrimmages. Seems that we had one today against Liberty and will have another one on the 30th against UofR. The results of these occasionally get leaked and although they likely don't mean much in the grand scheme of the season, it is at least something for us to look at and think about. I've kept an eye out for the final score of the one today but haven't come across anything yet.

I was thinking we hadn't played Liberty again...

You generally won't get any kind of final score updates on those scrimmages because they tend to use them to focus on and work on situations that the coaches find their teams are lacking. It would be like trying to find a takeaway from looking at the final score of a Spring Game in football.

Perhaps the football team could try these out as well in an effort to improve since our head coach doesn't coach well enough.

His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."
