Almost forgot that CFB starts on Wednesday this week with Coastal Carolina and App State (ESPN2).
Inquisitive Hokies on the #MakeTheMove train will surely be interested in watching Jamey Chadwell's offense for Coastal Carolina.

I forgot what offense looks like. That being said these secondaries need to figure things out.
It is so enjoyable to watch two good football teams and coaches that want to win, and play to win. Side note, Brice, the Clemson, to Duke, to App St. QB just showed at the end of the half his weakness. Grayson McCall(CC QB) are different. Brice slides short of first, Grayson would have had it should he ran, previous App St. QB would have had it... Brice, not cognitive of where the first was, candidly looked afraid to take a hit and cost AppSt. an opportunity; and gave points to Coastal at the end. But a great Wednesday game to watch and enjoy so far.
Welp he just led them on a game-winning drive! What a fun game to watch midweek though
He did!!! goodness what a fun game to watch!!!
I couldn't figure out what the heck anyone was doing at the end of the first half, the whole App St. possession was confusing from a play calling and clock management view.
What a hit to end the game!
There's so much inconsistency with calling targeting. My first reaction is that I'm surprised it wasn't reviewed. Look at the QB's head whip back.
This hit looked closer to targeting than the hit Dax got flagged for.
edit: I take it back, looks like the defender hits the QB in the upper sternum.
To me, that looks like a good hit.
But they needed a time out to let him clear out the cobwebs, and didn't have one.
In 1995, maybe. The defender lowered his head and hit the QB in the facemask with the top of the helmet. A much more blatant version of what got Dax flagged.
Absolute brutal game management to lose the game here by Colorado State last night. The clock doesn't even start running right away but the team rushes the FG unit out without spiking the ball first.
edit to add: Shocking I know, but apparently CSU doesn't even have a Special Teams Coordinator. They have a Special Teams QC guy and that's it on their coaching staff. Still on HC Steve Addazio for the blunder at the end of the game. https://csurams.com/sports/football/coaches
If that happened against Tech Fuente would have called a timeout to "ice the kicker".
Apparently the guy wasn't a dude, that's what Addazio looks for. Honestly, I'd forgotten he was still a head coach.
The way the telecast was talking about him that kicker is absolutely a dude. Just bad coaching.
By the way, Kansas beating Oklahoma 10-0 in the third quarter. Hard to imagine that score holding up, but still another bizarre game this season.
Navy is making Cincy struggle and Wake is struggling with Army
Illinois hanging in against the Pedophile State U. as well.
The big ten is screwing Illinois. The XP team was lined up and they called two penalties on the previous play and they were both 100% BS!
And now the weakest holding call on a td run. Barno is held worse than that every play.
Oh man, I'm glad I'm not watching that as I'd probably be really pissed. I so dislike Penn State.
Love it! Encouraging KU students who might be in their dorms / people in Lawrence to come out to the stadium to catch the end of this game
Tenuta out rest of game
OU QB takes the ball away from the RB to get a 4th down conversion. Insane play.
Wake beats Army 70-56. Wondering when the last time was 126 points have been scored in a D1 game. Guessing a while.
Although it took 7OT, LSU @ TAMU game in 2018 ended 72-74.
Quickly Googling here ... Syracuse @ Pitt in 2016 ended 61-76 in 2016 in regulation.
I wish they would not count those overtime games. Actually, only count whatever the final 2 drives were. It is pretty absurd the scores that happen when there are many overtimes.
61-76, wow.
Not a very exciting game unfortunately, Pitt was up 49-21 at one point and then just kinda quit playing defense
EIGHT OT game PSU versus Illinois.
Nine now! Crazy
Only 20-18 in a 9OT game...
Yeah PSU looks terrible on offense and never made adjustments on defense (as usual).
Franklin continues to be the worse 4th quarter coach.
😬
Franklin has to take USC or LSU offer if it comes now right?
He'll drop 2 of the next 4 games then do it
Idk - The money is going to be the same/similar at all three schools. The two questions Franklin has to answer is (1) does he like PSU/Happy Valley enough to stay there, and (2) does he think he's hit the ceiling at PSU?
USC is easier to win more games. That middle of the big ten is brutal from a physical standpoint, even if you win you get beat up.
You think PSU is paying Franklin over 8 million currently?
I think they would if they needed to.
Google says he's at $5.5M today
Yeah I know who has Stanford kinda money!/s
I am so checked out of Fuente, that Penn State losing makes me happy no matter what Corn-Fu does.
I am right there with you on this. The only good thing today is PSU losing.
I would be very surprised if Franklin is at or near the top of USC's list. That program is in love with itself and has historically only hired from within. Does Franklin have any connection to the university? Or even the west coast?
Clemson starting QB benched after one of the worst pick sixes I've seen in a while
RG let that LB sail right past him. Not sure which ACC offensive powerhouse has the worst OL right now.. Clemson or UNC
Well, at least Maryland sucks.
Down goes OK State
ACC is in peak form this year. Wake, Pitt, and NC State are all ranked.
... and nobody else.
HH continues to make Fu look like an absolute moron.
What a pass just now. On the numbers, in stride, for the touchdown. Against Alabama. But he wasn't good enough to beat fuckin ACC Coastal teams, apparently.
Happy for Hendon.
He deserved better coaching and he got it.
*better WR's
Hendon Hooker lighting up Alabama in the first quarter 🤫
Yup yup
Add another 70-yard TD.
Hendo what a throw (edit: *early) in 4th
Just gonna dog pile on the Hooker lighting up Bama and Quincy Patterson doing well with 7-0 North Dakota State while Fuente chose the can't-make-a-pressured-pass Burmesiter. I'm just impressed they figured out he's better used running first, throwing second this week.
While NDSU is indeed 7-0 it seems that QP got benched today after going 5/16 for 77 yds. Looks like he is around 50% completion with 4 TDs and 4 INT over the last 5 games. I'm on record for shouting out his beautiful deep rainbow passes he's made don't get me wrong but it doesn't seem like he's taken that same leap like HH.
And Hooker has thrown some beautiful passes, but overall he's in the middle of the pack in the SEC in terms of wins and losses.
W-L doesn't do much for me rating QBs. Someone's got to catch the passes, kick FGs, and tackle the opponent's ballcarriers to win games. Not much HH can do for those things.
GT with the back-to-back onside kick recovers to make it a game against UVA.
20 seconds left, down 8
Damnit really wanted NC state to win this game against Miami to really drive down game ticket prices. I want to see how "luxury" I can go in Hard Rock Stadium for 150 dollars.
Why on Earth would you pay 150 to watch two awful teams?
The experience of being there in Hard Rock. That's why I want to go as luxury as possible.
Welp..with both the Canes and the Hoos looking increasingly competent, it may literally be Duke or nada for wins at this point.
Fuente has turned us into a punching bag.
A steaming pile of grit
Curious what Horse on a treadmill thinks of the one true stat after this one? Wake scored a touchdown on an average only taking sub 2 minutes and never punted once.
