Scholarship, beat out Duke and Maryland in his top 3. Also had offers from Az St, Houston, Indiana, and Liberty. Some smaller G5 offers as well. I haven't seen any Life Christian games this year, so I'm intrigued as he had quite a bit of interest from bigger schools this past month.

With current state of the program, I'm surprised about any commits...I figured a lot of these kids would wait until the smoke clears around Fu.
Regardless of Fu or anybody else, Tech is probably his best offer, at least from a playing football perspective. So even assuming we replace Fuente and get a good coach, Tech is better than his other offers. If it was more about school than football, assume he'd take the Duke offer.
Half of all P5 programs change head coaches every 5 years. Assistants come and go. Every coach - every coach - is 2 seasons away from being gone.
Many kids have a different perspective than fans - particularly those who inhabit message boards. And as much as fans like to think coaches and recruiting skills are what recruits players, IMO it's the emblem on the polo - and what's behind that - which does much of the recruiting. That doesn't change with a coach change.
