Pitt's remaining games are Duke, UNC, uva, and Syracuse. VT would just need Pitt to lose any two of those games.
If Pitt loses to both UNC and uva (because I don't think they'll lose to Duke), it could set up the commonwealth cup as a winner-take-all game yet again.

That could make for an interesting bit of scheduling in the final week.
If Pitt, uva, and VT are all 5-2 heading into that final week (set up by uva beating Pitt), then we're looking at these scenarios:
uva doesn't lose - they take the division regardless of the Pitt game.
--uva 6-2, VT 5-3, Pitt 6-2 or 5-3 (If Pitt loses, uva has best record. If Pitt wins, uva has the tiebreaker)
VT and Pitt both win - Pitt will take the division with the head-to-head over VT.
--Pitt 6-2, VT 6-2, uva 5-3
VT wins, Pitt loses - VT takes the division with best record
--VT 6-2, Pitt 5-3, uva 5-3
Now ESPN has to decide how they want the drama to play out:
If they put Pitt/Syracuse earlier than VT/uva, then a Pitt loss would guarantee the Commonwealth Cup to be winner-take-all. Pitt winning would then make VT a Pitt proxy in the Commonwealth Cup.
If they put VT/uva earlier, then there's no drama for the Pitt game if VT loses. If VT wins, then Syracuse becomes a VT proxy.
If they schedule both games for the same time, they risk cutting their ratings down as fans of one game might be more inclined to watch the other for the division outcome.

One of the worst ones for me was back in 2007, when Miami was playing their last game in the old stadium, and it was so freaking hilarious that they were getting taken to the woodshed and shut out. It just sucked that uva was the one doing it.

In fact, I'm not sure I can actually enjoy games between them, unless it eliminates one of them from Coastal contention, and the other is already eliminated.

After the first 2 months anything really could happen. Its been crazy, and I love it. We could win out, we could lose out, Pitt could drop a could more games, its insane what could happen. The only thing I am semi sure about is that UGA is better than everyone. Though Saban loves beating assistants so who knows.

It's cool how literally a few inches was the difference between 6-1 and the apocalypse just 48 hours ago - and now there's a thread laying out the path to the ACC championship.

Stranger things have happened...
It's that time of the year to bring out this gif:
I am thinking that the Pitt UVA game will have over 800 combined yards of passing offense, easy
And then get the chance to play spoiler to the 12-0 demon deacs, I dig what you are feeling
Hate to burst your bubble, but that scenario still has Pitt winning the division.
Pitt only has 1 loss right now. Losing to uva would put them at 2 losses.
Miami, uva, and VT all have 2 losses right now. If we win out, uva and Miami both drop to 3. Pitt would still have the head to head over us.
We need Pitt to lose two more games to have any chance.
Good, because I was going to find it impossible to root for UVa.
We need UNC to beat them and UVA. I think it's possible but definitely unlikely
UNC already beat uva.

Yeah I meant we need UNC ane UVA to beat Pitt
Yes, we will win out...
All I can think of is don't drink the Kool Aid.
In other words, drink the kool aid while it's still fresh.
*moved*
Who will Pitt lose to?
Duke? Doubt it
UNC? Very possible
UVA? Not without BA
Syracuse? Possible, but it's the Carrier Dome, so 🤷🏽♂️
On the flip side, can we NOT drop a game?
Please let it be Syracuse.

I hate that the ACC Coastal gives me lots of games I wish both teams could lose.
Like most every game (other than VT) that UVa plays. UVa needed to lose to Miami. VT needs to beat Miami.

Yes, it was too hard for me to enjoy that one.

I tell my wife that a few inches will prevent the apocalypse all the time.
Has anyone seen an update on Armstrong yet? Dont know who UVA have as a backup but losing him could derail their season if hes out significant time.
