Hokies wrestling are off to a Hot start on the recruiting trail for the class of 2023 by picking up two top 30 recruits in the country. Hunter Mason (#5 wrestler at 138) committed on Tuesday and Mac Church (#20 wrestler at 126 but bumping up to 132 for next week Super 32 tournament) committed Thursday night. According to Flowrestling 2023 big board Hunter Mason is the #11th overall recuirt in the 2023 class while Mac Church isn't far behind coming in at #26th in the same board. I'm very impressed with how the staff has recruited since Robie has taken over. Dresser recruited really good but Robie and Frayer have been top notch. I expect to hear more good news for this class and the class of 22 in the next couple months!

hells yeah! Robie has been fantastic.
thanks for update
Keep the train rolling
Another day another 2023 recruit. This time it's Logan Frazier from Indiana. Number 76 on the 2023 flo big board. Also worth mention he's teammate Jesse Mendez is #3 P4P best recruit in the country and #2 best recruit for the class of 2022 who also has Tech in his final 6👀👀
lets go...NCAAs
Friggin A! Always love a guy with two 1st names, and howsabouts MAC CHURCH. Dresser, Robie & Frayer are MUDERIN it! Let's keep it rollin'!!!
Mac Chruch the #10 seed at super 32 is in the quarterfinals at 132. He upsetted the #7 seed by Major Decision 8-0 in the round of 16 and takes on #2 seed tomorrow at 8 AM est
He won 5-4 and will wrestle the #11 seed in semis.
Yep had the only takedowns of the match but according to Bobzein mom (Mac's opponent) he didn't do anything the whole match😂
Class of 22 update. The number 3# 195er in the country T.J Stewart makes his decision on Monday morning. His final 4 is Tech,UNC,PSU and Maryland. If I had to pick it's between Tech and UNC
Top 30 of their weight class?
Nah the whole entire class
Woah that's huge then
Sounds like we are recruiting better than any sport, but still way behind those who are in the top few in wrestling. Where do we rank nationally in recruiting, and where is good source for wrasslin cruitin.?
As much as I have a personal have a gripe with TSL. their wrestling board is top notch with some people who knows stuff + Frayer occasionally hops in and talks about a couple things. Speaking of Frayer. On Twitter he usually post a tweet with some emojis a day or so before a recruit commits to tech. So if he drops some emojis late Sunday I feel really good about Monday morning
Speaking about Sunday. I will be making a thread Sunday morning for the Southeast open. Hokies wrestling first action of the season!
This is awesome! Fu should have attended RRS. Robie's Recruiting Seminar.
Ladies and Gentlemen. We got him😎 T.J Stewart is a HOKIE! the 19th best p4p recuirt in the country and the #3 195 pound wrestler from DC but is wrestling at Blair academy which is known for production stud wrestlers. HUGE pickup right here. Hes very athletic for his size and the man scores a lot. Should immediately compete to be the 197 starter next year!
Probably should have mention he's class of 22😂
