Cattoor played solid taking charges and dropping 3 balls. Aluma scored 20 even with being in foul trouble for 1/2 the game. My player of the game?

Great win. Hunter ruled from outside the arc. Storm and Aluma played much better. Team is coming together and now we get another game against a common UVA foe, Radford.

Just sitting here thinking. What a huge difference a week makes as a Hokies fan.

Last Friday night we were getting embarrassed on National TV to a weak ass BC team. Literally watching Fuente sign his departure papers and feeling numb as a fan. And this Friday night we're watching a very well coached, potentially top 25 team, give a well rounded thumping to a Navy team that thumped UVA in John Paul Jones.

Man, didn't even notice until the second rewatch (and definitely didn't in the game) that Mutts was watching that shot from outside the arc and started moving in as the shot was taken because he both saw it might miss and saw a wide open lane, and knew where to be to pick it back up (even then he was a little bit off, still slammed it).

Boy is this dude something special...people should be talking about him just as much as Aluma, but at the same time I LOVE that they're not, bc he gets to be a little secret for a few games.

Virginia Tech Basketball right now reminds me a lot of VT football in the mid-90s. Not always the most talented team, but they play hard and they play smart, they are well coached, and you know you are going to get great effort every game.

Whether they are playing Duke, Villanova, Mich. State, etc., I always go into the game feeling like we have a solid chance to win. And these Mike Young-coached Hokies almost never seem to play down to their competition against the Maine's and Navy's of the world.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me.

Not trying to focus on the negative in a FAM thread but man if we still had a few guys like Radford and Nolley around I think this team would be a legit National Championship contender. But let's see how far these boys can go!

To add some insult to injury Bamisile likely doesn't transfer if Radford leaves a month pr 2 earlier (since Bamisile mostly transferred for PT reasons), and he's looked much improved at GW so far this season.
