That's extremely reassuring.
Yep. Sigh of relief folks.
Just make the correct hire.
Recruiting 101
My thoughts exactly
Agreed, immediate salesmanship, damage control, but we must be hopeful! I need a drink!.......... aahhhhhhh
We all needed to hear this. It was some pretty serious doom and gloom today
Yeah it is very nice to here albeit damage control from the staff
Yea, this is damage control 101
Agreed. It may just be window dressing to calm the masses, but I vastly prefer some reassuring spin to the deafening silence I've been conditioned to expect in years past.
Haha to be fair Shane would spin an earthquake that destroyed Lane stadium into a positive.
"I really liked the energy in Lane today! Scott Stadiums never been that loud!"
To his credit wasn't that most likely true?
Unless, of course, we're playing there. In that case it IS the loudest stadium (cause we take it over).
Who the heck downvoted this? ANSWER NOW!!!!
Why people get so worked up over downvotes is beyond me. It was a fat finger and has since been corrected. If it was just one, take that giant chill pill. If it's a bunch then you can start pointing it out.
Haha - should have added '/sarcastica' beyond my statement.... no worries bro
I accidentally fat fingered it. It's fixed now. PS I didn't downvote your comment.
Would like more detail, but its a start. Gotta try to get everyone signed and get a top notch coach... crossing fingers by signing day.
Gives me hope that someone has a PR bone in their body
Hah. So true.
Shane Beamer on a hypothetical Sam Rogers plane crash: "We will rebuild him. We have the horses on treadmills. We have the robotic jellyfish. We have the capability to make the world first bionic Sam Rogers. Oh, and Pops has 6 million dollars in a cookie jar under his desk."
"Blake DeChristopher has been approached, and is eager to help Sam with his strength training."
Although with Sam, I think it would be more of a careful observation of how he managed to survive and thrive, and how that knowledge could be applied to make plane crashes safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
This is assuming a plane crash would damage Sam. Sam Rogers doesn't hit the ground, the ground fails to get away.
damned double post
Wait..destroyed Lane Stadium..what did Sam Rogers do now,was he attempting to run stadium stairs. I warned him not to do that.
LOL true, but we need some positive out of today
More OL coaches called today than UVA fans at a spring game.
This ^^^^^ wins the internet.
I know this is TSL but more good news.

This makes me not sad and now I'm not sad.
(And yes I know what he's doing. but still. it makes me feel less... sad)
look at what Grimes did in one year. Why can't someone else do the same coming in with a better group of players.
Go HOKIES!
This gif is mesmerizing. I don't know why, but it is.
The spin is in
YES YES YES YES
eh...I think this was a pretty smart tweet by Shane...damage control...and I HOPE it's true, but I'm definitely skeptical at this point.
Agreed, it is a very smart tweet and more news than we got from the inside during the huge personnel changes last winter. There has to be some grain of truth to it, as he is well aware of the fact that he would look like an idiot next week if we hired a no-name. I think it also puts any "Stiney to OL" speculation to rest.
I'm guilty of doing it - but the HOKIE nation is often selling itself short, it's a GREAT destination for anyone associated with college football. There are 126 college programs- of desired coaching position, VT is very attractive for both accomplished and promising personnel. GO HOKIES!
It's probably just for recruiting purposes but I could use some good news so I'm choosing to believe it.
Upvoting because the kid impresses me and I would 100% break my ankle doing that.
I kept watching thinking 'He's gonna get tired and then drop that saxophone.'
And then I think 'Oh, yeah, it's a gif.'
This also seems like a subtle dig at Grimes. It could be inferred that since Grimes no longer wants to coach at Tech (honestly, I can't fault the man for doing what he think is best for him), he is not a big time OL coach. So many angles to one little tweet. Well done Shane.
Shane tweeted this right before tweeting the message above, so probably not meant to be a dig.
Remember he's a Beamer, he has class.
I havent seen this much green since I heard what theyre paying Grimes.
The Hokie love is here today
