The fact that it's a completely believable headline 11 years later is indicative of how unchanging the ACC leadership prefers things to be. The ACC isn't looking to innovate or lead the way at all. They'll let the SEC take the risks and take what crumbs are left while trying to steal some championships in (primarily) basketball and in a distant second, football.
