His bio is here: http://www.bceagles.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/justin_frye_843398.html.
He worked with Loeffer at Florida as offensive line graduate assistant (2009-10), and was the OL coach with Loeffer at Temple in 2011. Temple ran the air out of the ball in 2011, and we know first hand Boston College could pound the rock last season. He has a familiarity with Loeffer, which is a huge bonus. Additionally, he seems like a decent recruit grabbing commitments from several 3-star prospects.
However, he played for Steve Addazio and had coached with him every step of the way. Con, it could be a tough sell to get him to leave his mentor. Pro, Given Addazio's experience coaching the offensive line, Frye is probably an up-and-coming coach.

Con: He doesn't have a goatee
Pro: I like his pedigree. BC had a hell of line last year to pave the way for Williams.
Verdict: If he grows a goatee I'm on board.
Apparently, if it's not Todd Washington then Kyle Bailey is going to jump off a cliff.
Todd Washington comes with preinstalled goatee.
Was Frye one of the 5 Shane spoke about? I like it. I have faith in Beamer and Loeffler. VT will make a good hire.
Could we supersize that?
My first name isn't Justin.
For 280k a year, I would take the job. I think with French whispering in my ear, we could do something.
"HEY YOU. KNOCK THOSE GUYS DOWN."

Better than my coaching strategy: "IF YOU SEE A GUY WEARING A DIFFERENT JERSEY THAN YOU, HIT HIM."
... Which apparently differs from the blocking scheme at Florida.
fryes!?!? - YES PLEASE!
I'd have to think, with his coaching experience, and the past history with Loeffler, that his name has come up. Whether he'd be willing to leave Addazio ... money talks.
BC lost the Notorious TOB to NCSU because of money.
You mean the same TOB that fetches coffee for Coach Fondue?
If Frye handled the blocking scheme planning for the VT game, I'd be thrilled with Frye. He used formation to get Bud into his 46 defense, and then used wide splits between the centers and guards to spread Maddy and Hopkins out, creating more space than they could defend. It also allowed BC to double team both and leave Tyler isolated against the BC fullback and Williams. It was masterful, and he defintely instilled a nasty attitude in those guys.
The big question is, was it really Frye, or was that Addazio. He was very hands on with his lines while OC at Florida, and HC at Temple.
Hire Addazio as OL coach. Boom. Done. 2 problems solved right there.
