2021 Pick Six: Champions Week

We've arrived at Conference Championship Week, the final week of Pick 6 because I'm sure as heck not going to be able to keep up with bowl games flying at me on Tuesday afternoons.

I'd like to thank everyone who participated and commented over the season. It was fun.
That being said:

Before we get to the games, here's the people in the Top 5 (or so) that have a shot at winning the "'Macho' Harris Honorary Pick 6 Crown sponsored by Antone Exum's Island Daycare®."

Please ignore the first row's terrible score.

For everyone else not in the running for the Crown, we have the Official TKP Pick 6 Consolation Beer sponsored by your fridge. Enjoy! You deserve it.

As always, make you official picks here.

Comments

Utah State vs (19) San Diego State (SDSU -5.5)
Appalachian State vs (24) Louisiana (App -2.5): App has been strong all season Napier gone, Louisiana falls
(21) Houston vs (4) Cincinnati (Cincy -10.5): Cincy has played all their games pretty close just thinking that this one stays within 2 scores
(15) Pitt vs (16) Wake Forest (Pitt -3.5): Excited for this but I think Pitts defense has too many athletes and too much pressure for that mesh point to work
(2) Michigan vs (13) Iowa (Mich -10.5): Michigan I still think Iowa is extremely overrated and Michigan avoids a let down game after Ohio State to keep the playoff hopes alive
(1) Georgia vs (3) Alabama (UGA -6.5): Who knows

Also if I get these all right and everyone else forgets to play I have a chance!
(of moving into 14th place)

Trying to figure out how I made the top 5.

Same. I used a combined strategy of very amateur matchup analysis and visceral fan emotion to make my picks. That doesn't seem like a solid plan, but here I am making a run for the crown.

@2HokiesIn1 - thank you so much for putting this together all year. It's been fun and I hope you've enjoyed it enough to do it again next year :)

I have no idea what I'm doing (and yet, somehow, I'm in the top5?)

Utah State vs (19) San Diego State (SDSU -5.5) SDSU by a TD
Appalachian State vs (24) Louisiana (App -2.5) With Napier in Gainesville I think App State runs away with it
(21) Houston vs (4) Cincinnati (Cincy -10.5) Cincy has been impressive and they need this win to get to the playoff but I think it'll be closer than expected.
(15) Pitt vs (16) Wake Forest (Pitt -3.5) - I think Wake is a better team all around and may even win this. Either way, I think it'll come down to a field goal
(2) Michigan vs (13) Iowa (Mich -10.5) - This was one of the hardest ones to pick. I hope it's closer than 10.5.
(1) Georgia vs (3) Alabama (UGA -6.5) - Georgia's defense is scary good. I think this will be a good game but Georgia will win by a TD. At least.

Onward and upward

San Diego State
Appalachian State
Cincinnati
Pitt
Michigan
Alabama

To quote the Brothers Osborne: "I'm Good For Some But I'm Not For Everyone"

SDSU
Louisiana
Houston beats the spread, not Cincy
Pitt
Iowa....I think they beat the spread, probably not win outright, but hopefully
Dawgs, and it won't be close

Take the shortest route to the ball and arrive in bad humor.

They say fourth place is the dark horse position. Let's go.

Utah State vs (19) San Diego State (SDSU -5.5)
Appalachian State vs (24) Louisiana (App -2.5)
(21) Houston vs (4) Cincinnati (Cincy -10.5) (call me crazy, but I think Cincy runs it up to get into the CFP)
(15) Pitt vs (16) Wake Forest (Pitt -3.5)
(2) Michigan vs (13) Iowa (Mich -10.5)
(1) Georgia vs (3) Alabama (UGA -6.5)

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

I've got a 30th-to-1st strategy going. I don't think anyone will see it coming.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Last absurdly long pointless pick 6 post of the year, here we go:

San Diego cause why not

Yosef FTW

Cincy with a statement win

F*ck Pat Narduzzi

Hawkeyes on my belly

Dawgs
