Okay FAMS, got two nights (mon/tues) and up to 3 lunches in ATL for work. What to do? Likely getting dark when I get off the job.
GA aquarium is literally shining a light in my hotel window if you're wondering where I'm at. They close at 8 per Apple Maps; CFB HoF closes at 5pm so that's a stretch but I'd love to go.
I'm within walking distance of Centennial Olympic Park dining options, thinking Ruth Chris on the boss's dime but talk me out of it.

Local ATLien here - what are you looking for? Best food, night life, random atl stuff?
Food and a couple must-sees maybe. I may not be getting out before 7pm.
There's a lot more I could recommend, but I tried to give you stuff that is within a 10ish min uber.
I ate at a Ruth's Chris in Atlanta about ten years ago and it was really good (also on my boss' dime).
I was there for INPO (OSPDS), they made a big deal out of taking everybody out to Pappadeaux's. That was actually kind of disappointing.
Go for the Lou Williams lemon pepper wings
Lol iykyk
+1 for Magic City. Those wings are amazing.
JR Crickets dirty bird wings are smaller, but the flavor is almost as good.
Two nights in Atlanta and the world's your oyster.
The bars are temples, but the pearls ain't free.
No.
That's One Night in Bangkok
Although both will make a hard man humble
I'm just glad someone got the joke. Leg.
Magic City π
The aquarium is worth it, they usually have discounted passes for late in the day
See if there's a Hawks game while in town, they are always fun
Hawks are away tonight. There's a standup I wanted to see but he's not here until Thursday. I'm just a few days off!
I liked world of Coke, but I love Coca-Cola. At the end you can taste like 200 coke products from around the world. At Xmas time they had a cinnamon coke, which was nice. Just be ware, Beverly is the worst liquid I have ever put in my mouth.
The aquarium is awesome and I believe the biggest in the country if not the world. Highly recommend.
Johnny's Hideaway is an epic cougar bar. Very highly recommend.
Claremont Lounge is a strip club where strippers basically go to die. It's hilarious. Highest recommendation.
Wait - what?
North side of town, I guess what you would consider to be Buckhead. It is wildly popular with the older crowd and it is fun as hell. Loaded with cougars...
I already knew too much, but thanks!
Haha you're welcome. I'll be going again in early February
Johnny's is legendary. But you shouldn't go unless you're under 30 or over 50.
Ruth's Chris on the boss's dime is some pretty sweet steak. So yeah, definitely do that.
If you have a car, Buckhead is a nice part of town.
I could stay and watch the whale sharks at the aquarium for ages.
If you want a good lunch/dinner spot that isn't Ruth's Chris $$$, check out Murphy's in Virginia-Highland neighborhood. Would be a short Uber ride and it's my favorite restaurant in the entire city.
Need to go to the college football hall of fame. Rathburn's and Kyma are my favorite places to eat.
I actually like Park Tavern for the atmosphere. Food is good too. There's also at the south end of Piedmont Park off 10th St a bunch of cool little places. My wife and I have bar hopped both spots then ended up at Park Tavern for music at the park events.
A personal favorite of mine is the rotating restaurant bar at the top of I think it's the Westin. Place is called the Sun Dial. Can't beat the view.
Depending on how far you want to go - Monday Night Brewing, Scofflaw Brewing, and New Realm Brewing. Can't go wrong at any of them. New Realm is right on the Beltline and has a full kitchen menu as well. There are a couple other restaurants next to it as well. Monday Night and Scofflaw usually have food trucks or taco stands by independent vendors.
If in a burger mood - the Vortex.
If you want to tourist nerd out - The Varsity. Be prepared for an explosive outcome later if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the input so far. Pretty limited on time, more so than I originally thought.
...we may be getting into future visit territory.
Instead of Ruth's Chris consider Bones in Buckhead, Marcel on Westside or Kevin Rathbun Steak in Inman Park.
Murphys' is good and there are a couple of neat bars in the area as well.
If you're up for a walk the Eastside beltline is neat.
I can endorse Bones, was my Favorite Steakhouse in ATL when I lived there (2001-2007).
Get the Grit Fritters (basically fried balls of cheese grits)
If you have time while you're in the airport go to One Flew South, phenomenal steaks and cocktails.
Clermont Lounge is always good for a laugh!
Magic City duh
Them wings are good
Had a fun late night at johnnys Hideaway
