The Ladies play today at Liberty at 7 PM. The game is on on ESPN+. Liberty is 7-1 with their only loss to Memphis at home by 2 points. Sorry about the formatting today. LIberty's website was hard to navigate.

Liberty plays a lot of their roster. Twelve players are averaging at least 9 min/game. The starters only play 16-24 min/game. Stamina in the fourth quarter may be a factor. They start 2 R-Seniors, 2 R-Juniors and a R-Sophomore; they are a very mature team.

They only shoot 30% from three; but only allow 26.5%. They are averaging 6+ made threes per game. One starter and 3 subs are averaging over 40% from three; so defense beyond the arc will be important. Liberty averages 44% shooting overall; but Brkman averages 67% with no attempts from 3. So defense underneath is going to be important also.

This may not be as easy as we would hope. The Ladies are going to have to play a complete game on both ends of the court to win this one.
Go Hokies!

Will probably be able to spread our elbows a bit and throw their weight around in this one, which we're gonna need against a 1 loss team. Which should be possible, as officials usually look the other way when one gets overly physical with a woman at Liberty.
Horrible that our students, staff and fans have to step foot on that diploma mill.
This is not going well at all.
I'm beginning to think we are not a very good team. We are not good at getting the ball to Kitley in a place where she is ready to shoot; and she struggles to create her own shots against a good player. And our outside shooters are streaky and prone to long dry spells. Might be a long ACC season.
For as skilled as Kitley is, she can't take the slightest bit of physicality. She isn't strong enough to establish position in the post. A lot of the turnovers on entry passes to her look like the guards fault but it's actually Kitley not using her body to shield the defender properly.
Just looked at the box score. With 2 min remaining in the third quarter, only Kitley and Sheppard have scored.
I guess our B-ball satisfaction for today will have to come from UVA men's loss to JMU.
This pleases me greatly.
This keeps up and Brooks is in the hot seat next season.
