Wake is not a strong three point team, only averaging 32.6% from three; and they have shot only about 27% against ACC teams and only 12.5% in the loss to Nebraska. They are only allowing opponents to shoot 23.5% from three. Jewel Spear is the only player that likes to shoot threes and shoots them well, 39.8%. But the Demon Deacons do shoot well from inside the arc; they have 7 players who average over 40% shooting. Wake is only allowing 55 points per game on the season; but Nebraska scored 86 and the two ACC teams scored 62 and 69. I don't think they have seen an offense like the Hokies can play.
If Kitley can play her game and gets some support from Amoore and Sheppard, the Hokies should do well in this game. Defense inside may be the key. If Wake has some foul issues and Kitley is playing well, I don't see how they can slow her down much.

Wake did their best to take Kitley out of the game. Triple teaming her many times. The rest of the team stepped up. Good win for the Ladies.
Agree. Wake was determined that Kitley wasn't going to beat them. That the perimeter players were going to have to make their open shots and they did a decent job of that. And cut down the turnovers after the first quarter.
Maybe should've tried to take her out of the game on the defensive end.
