Always good to see a VT Hokie get recognized and rewarded.
Glad he's seeing a high level of success in the NFL.

The advice from the VT coaches, including OL Coach Jeff Grimes, to switch from defensive end to the offensive line sure did pan out. You could understand some possible reservations at the time concerning the swap. Teller was a 4 star defensive end recruit for the class of 2013, ranked from #7 to #32 nationally at strong side defensive end. The attached link is an amusing read, with a video of one of his pancake blocks. "Pancake King of the Midwest" in the NFL, no less.
After reading this I think Wyatt and I would be great friends. His passions are whiskey, guns, and hunting. Giving everyone that comes in his house a glass of Pappy is a nice touch too..
ugh there's a long paragraph about Fu's relationship with him
Yeah, I think now that he's gone we are getting some answers about some of the transfers and baffling personnel decisions. Fuente clearly played favorites and if you were in his doghouse for some reason he mean girl-ed you publicly. Terrible leadership skills.
My favorite quote was in reference to Teller choosing between UVA and VT:
Really brings all of it together how some guys loved Fuente and some really couldn't stand him, that alone makes it very hard to have a good football team.
His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."
I am adding this to my tag line.
Just makes so much sense Buds words would work with him. As Bud used to put it he's a dude. Glad to see how great he has gotten in the league and got paid.
Sucks to hear the Fuente stuff, but glad it is over. Hope he comes back for a visit and has a few drinks with the new staff. Have to feel Pry, JC, et all would make him feel much more like the home it is.
I also think he would be a league leader in BS penalties called on a guy. He gets the refs attention somehow. Good on him for putting in the work to show up his draft spot.
Gonna be fun to tell people after he's inducted into the Hall of Fame (cart before horse I know, but if he keeps up this level of play...) that when he was in college he was repeatedly benched by our coaching staff....
