Best news I heard all day.

We went from oh shit to a foundation to build on with the OL pretty fast.

This is HUGE!!!! Awesome way to end the day

Feel like he was at minimum a solid rotation guy this season who I didn't see make glaring errors? Not sure how many snaps he ended up getting on average, but I suspect he's probably the front runner to start next year at Center?

To quote the Brothers Osborne: "I'm Good For Some But I'm Not For Everyone"

Let's go!! Wasn't expecting that news

Coming from a family of New England brick masons, a well built brick wall is downright pornographic.

It is an art form.

Agree.

In my neighborhood, there's examples of masonry from diy'ers, general contractors, and brick masons (lots of which was built around a century ago). The difference in uniformity and longevity done by masons compared to the others is boggling.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

Pretty good base of Dsanzi, Kaden Brown, Jordan, Clements. Then mix in some of the redshirt players and possibly a transfer or two.

Tyrod did it Mikey, Tyrod did it!!

Yeah, the OL has moved down a decent amount on the list of concerns.

At least have a reasonable foundation.

Would be interesting if Rudolph or Pry could talk Tenuta back for '22. Would really help bolster the OL and probably be in his best interest, as the (albeit limited) amount of Draft prognostication I can find for him doesn't bode well.

Tenuta gone bro.

Apparently UVA has an OL in the transfer portal (Ryan Swoboda) that is 6'10" 325 lbs that is visiting VT this weekend and I believe he was a starter. Also the kid from Cornell (Hunter Nourzad) 6'4" 298 lbs could be a good transfer portal get so O-line is starting to give me hope. I am hoping Bob Schick and Jesse Hanson are developing, it seemed like they were both sounding promising going into this past season.

FIRST DOWN, HOKIES!

UVA OT cancelled his OV, looks like he's going home to Florida

Not sure about timing, but we need to offload about 5 players, and he may have been asked to wait on a decision. Plus we get some recruits in February.

Niziolek's tweet this morning has us at 87 scholarship players.

I imagine we will lose a RB or 2 after spring. That room is a little heavy on bodies.

I'm going to guess we lose at least 5 RBs after the spring. No way having 10 on the roster is feasible. The new offensive staff has its work cut out for themselves.

Additionally, there's going to be attrition on defense. Recruitment alone makes me think we're going to start cutting bodies for quality. I really like Lemar Law, he's highly underrated by the recruiting services, and he will make a lot of noise in college.

When do the schollies have to be allocated to hit the correct number? Is that just by a certain date in summer? fall?

The numbers always work out.

We put the K in Kwality

Can he play WR?

Forget that. Can he play center? Asking for Mike Young.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

Another good piece of the puzzle. Welcome back JJ. Keep doing work in that Portal, CBP.

Any idea as to the basis for the 6th year? It does not say why in the article.

"That's it guys. Let's get out of here. That cold drink's waitin' on us, let's go." - Mike Young after win no. 300.

We signed the request to the NCAA University of Virginia tech?

More likely that we've managed to procure some official "Southeastern Conference" letterhead.

I've been scratching my head trying to figure that out myself. None of this makes sense. Besides the 2020 season that doesn't count for eligibility at all, he has already played at least 6 games in four different seasons, meaning this isn't a medical hardship waiver (maximum of four games in a season, all in the first half). Not sure what else it could possibly be.

Not that I'm complaining, we absolutely need the help on O-line.

This seems like good news. The more bodies we have the better, IMO

Onward and upward

Keep the good news flowing, and give us a little optimism going into next year - I like it! With solid coaches coaching these guys up, we could be pleasantly surprised at the results, even given the apparent lack of top talent.
