Looks like all three have signed according to Hokiesports.
Hoping we get some solid Walk-ons.
ABC- can we get some others??
That's the good stuff. I know we were worried about losing those two guys that were previously committed, so it's nice that they stuck.
It was nice to have all three NLI's received the first time I checked social media/TKP this morning. I'm very glad we managed to hold onto Wright and Chaplin. I think Wright may be a potential early contributor and potential playmaker on offense. He is a WR in a tight ends body and was an absolute playmaker in high school. I think he makes in impact in year 1 or 2. Chaplin has the kind of size where he could develop into a really special offensive lineman. I'm excited to see what Rudolph can do with Chaplin and the rest of this OL class coming in.
Alves film looks good, he looks fast, and looks like a playmaker. Most of his highlights are on offense, but a lot of VT social media makes me think he's being looked at primarily as a DB. I don't know if this is a Malcolm Jones replacement, or this scholly was extended for totally unrelated reasons, but I like the pick up.
I've mentioned this before, but we went heavy on DL and OL in this incoming 22 class. I think this class could go a long way in turning this program around on the lines of scrimmage if we hit on a solid number of players on each side.
Pass-catchers have so much potential...Lawson, Benji, Wright, Holloway (I think he's the sleeper in the class) added to the young guns already on the roster.
Yep, but we are going to be young yet again.
I'd rather take the pain early though and hope we can find some diamonds. Since we're probably taking only one more transfer at the most, I hope it's a pass rusher so maybe next year or at least the year after won't be quite as rough.
insert: "Are we going to have a top 30 class?" in a Tom Grossi manner.
I'm really pumped we were able to keep Wright in the class, all things considered a very solid transitional class.
Pry with another solid press conference this morning as well. It was live on the Hokie Sports app but I'm sure they will drop a YouTube link later today. Love the energy, personality, and candor he brings to the podium
Everytime Coach Pry speaks, something feels good about his delivery. Feels like i'm listening to Bud Foster in a way.
Definitely agree - love listening to what he has to say. Here's a link to the press conference for any who missed it.
For whoever said they felt sorry for Tahj Bullock, I wouldn't - CBP sounded excited to have him. He gave some good feedback on some of the other players. Interesting to hear his thoughts on the 23 class, so may not be as good as we hope, but sounds like they're going to try to win recruits over.
It sounds encouraging too - sounds like he has a definite plan of what he wants to accomplish and a timeline. I think Fuente had an idea of what he wanted to accomplish, just not sure he had a plan to get there. Pry definitely seems like a sharp guy and seems like the wheels are turning for the plans he's got.
Also nice to hear he wants to have an actual game-type format for the spring game and said he wanted to do that for the fans. Basically felt like there were a lot of good takeaways from this!
He said there is no starting QB right now. I thought we were done with this!

I love, LOVE Daequan Wrights film. Honestly shocked we kept him in the boat, but seriously thrilled. He is big, fast, catches with his hands. He is going to be a handful once he gets comfortable. He has first team all ACC potential. Really really, cant say this enough, really good pickup.
Glad we were able to hang on to these guys.
At #31 overall and #4 in the ACC, class is pretty phenomenal for a coaching transition year.
Judging from a pinned tweet, might be a PWO
Comes from the same team as Daequan Wright.
How things are going for the new LOLUVA coaching staff...
"Hopefully, our best job of recruiting will be recruiting the locker room as we go through the spring. So we can maintain the guys that we've got, so we're not in a situation where we're trying to find more guys before fall camp starts." -U.VA Head Coach Tony Elliott
Will Elliot continue UVA's locker room rituals to keep their players on the roster?
The average recruiting ranking places UVA 2nd to last asking P5 teams, only Washington state is worse.
They are less than 1 point above the average rating for Campbell's recruiting class.
This is so Hoo......
Damn, Bronco really mailed it in
He's not the only one, cause I wanted to be like look how worse UVA is than everyone else but Cuse had to ruin that by being only slightly better.
