McCollum and some others are headed the other direction to the Pelicans.
Hopefully he'll get an even more prominent role for the Blazers, especially if Dame leaves.
Edit: I'm hyped because I'll get to see him play locally here, Go Hokies!

Portland is much more like Canada than New Orleans-I bet he likes it there
Blazers and Pistons discussing a move for Jerami Grant. Don't be surprised if he is headed to Detroit before the deadline is over.
Agree this should be a good move for NAW... it looks like Portland trying to rebuild the team around Dame Lillard. He's not exactly young anymore, so it'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
He'd definitely be able to get some decent poutine in Detroit, and if not there, just over the river in Windsor, ON.
You can get good poutine in Detroit.
Classy move by NAW and Josh Hart, sitting courtside after their trade (which wasn't made official until the 2nd quarter), to show support for their now former teammates.
Warning: ESPN link
NAW is now headed to Utah
He might want to wait a bit to boom his airfare ...
Yeah, but all those frequent flyer miles will be nice for his summer vacation
Headed to the Jazz now. It's been a whirlwind for him these past couple of days.
Beat me by 24 seconds. I'll wait to get home before my drink.
Playing with Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, and Rudy Gobert is cool, but imagine thinking you're going to get to live in Portland then you have to live in Salt Lake City.
I know which one of the two I'd rather live in and it sounds like we don't have the same answer.
I'm bias, I'll take SLC over Portland any day, and twice on Sundays.
I'm Team Salt Lake City all day every day, but a lot of that has to do with the mountains and specifically skiiing. If I was a professional athlete I don't think I would risk injury for skiing until I retired and hiking doesn't sound great if your primary job is to work out and play a sport.
Well I was going to post a portlandia gif buy you guys got that covered, so.....
OT, but there wasn't really a better thread to put this in, and it really doesn't warrant is own thread, but it is NBA Trade related.
Ben Simmons was traded to the
MNets yesterday, after sitting out all season demanding a trade, all the while claiming "mental illness". Joel Embiid, who is having one of his best seasons, posted this yesterday. The reference is to a guy that goes to the funeral of someone that he hates, in order to ensure that he's really dead. Savage AF right there!
As an aside, I wonder if one of the Falcons will tweet something similar after Calvin Ridley is traded?
Have they said if he projects better as an outfielder or 1st baseman?
i dont think simmons/ridley are comparable at all
I'm not sure at this point. The fact that he played/rostered in exactly the number of games to get a year of NFL credit (6), and from a recent Arthur Blank Q&A, neither Blank nor any Falcons representatives were "permitted to speak to him directly". Ridley's agent referenced health privacy laws, but AFAIK, they don't bar the employee from speaking to employers.
Something just seems fishy there.
And "Troel" Embiid adds insult to injury lol.
Wow, great landing spot for NAW, his skill set fits there perfectly. I can't stand the Jazz personally, but hopefully he'll go 0/a million against the Nuggos and make it up elsewhere
