lol this HBCU game is ridiculous. We're gonna miss the whole first half at this rate, and its absurd that ESPN has no fallback plan to air an ACC basketball game, especially one featuring UNC.

We don't drive the basket enough to match fouls with a team like UNC who does. When your entire offense is predicated on shots from 3, you're just not going to draw many fouls.

I agree the refs suck especially the meathead ref - he looks like he wants to go home.
However, we have no energy and Aluma playing finesse instead of aggressive. Easily Mutts amd Cattoor's worst games of year based on performance thus far.

Both of these teams are not tourney teams. Unc are so sloppy and we can't make a bucket at all. Plenty of good looks but the shooters have been horrendous

I like the way we played defense in the second half, but at the end of the day you have to score. CMY basically has a Woffordesque roster that, when playing well, is really good. But at some point we need more athletic players and we need to be able to go 7-8 deep.

Unless we are a NIT 1 seed (aka Last 4 in) I don't think we should accept a NIT bid. The NIT is good for a young team to get more practice but not sure that's this team.
It's not over yet but tonight was a major major blow. We have 5-9 games left, here's how I see it:
4 wins: next 4 out/NIT
5 wins: bubble/NIT
6 wins: bubble/last 4 in
7+ wins: NCAA bid/not first 4

Couldn't agree more. And aside from Cattoor and Alleyne pretty sure next year's team is the definition of a young team. Also concerned with the depth of our bigs next year so if our bubble completely bursts soon (another three point shooting performance like yesterday would do it) might be roster shake up time until the ACC tournament, and give Keve a little well deserved rest to prep for the tournament.

Didn't notice Maddox in defense but only saw him get a few min then get yanked. Would like to see whoever had the hotter hand to get more time between he and alleyne instead of the persistence to play a cold alleyne
Edit: just checked minutes and he played more than I thought. Seemed like everyone was too timid to shoot tonight though; they'd pause before shooting the 3 instead of like committing and taking it right off the pass. DNG minutes really got cut this game though which explains why alumna was gassed

Crazy how shot selection late in games usually determines whether or not you'll win. Forced three straight turnovers and got no points because Alleyne and Mutts forced bad threes instead of just going to the rim and getting fouled
