Yep. Its about as obvious as it can be. The only possible excuse is start murphy so pedulla can be coached up on what the opponent is doing the first 4-5 min then take over.

I think that has to be what is going on now. Pedulla is getting more and more minutes. Start Murphy so the coaches can watch how they are playing the point and get a feel for the game and then get him in at first break.

If Duke and ND tie for 1st, then we hold the tiebreaker over UVA - we'd be 1-1 against the #1 teams and UVA would be 1-2. So we just need ND to win out and Duke drop a game (either @Pitt or vs UNC).

I'm much more optimistic. If we beat Louisville and Clemson (combined 26-30, 12-23 in the ACC) to close the regular season, we'll finish 20-11 (12-8 in conference). And we'll have won 10 out of our last 11 games.
I don't want to assume anything. But if we can avoid letdowns in the last two regular season games, I have to believe even a single win in the ACC tournament would clinch an NCAA tournament berth.

You guys are far too optimistic. All those crappy losses months ago are going to make it very tough. I think we need to win out and have at least 1 ACCT win just to have a 25% chance. We really need 2 ACCT wins to have a greater than 50% chance. Those 68-63 losses to NCSt and BC are just plain bad.
We're in almost no bracket projections and we need quality wins to get into the tournament. Middle-of-the-pack ACC team with one Q1 win is not going dancing. We need to win 2 in the ACCs. Drawing a seed against Notre Dame is probably our best chance.

Yep, all of this depends on other bubble teams losing and if there are any bid stealers. Given our current position if we lose between now and the quarterfinals we will lose ground and are way out.
If we win the next three we maybe can gain enough ground for the metrics to carry us in. (Only *IF* there are very few bid stealers.)
Conference tourney games are weird when it comes to the bubble, they are worth more and worth less depending on circumstances. If you lose first round (or before quarterfinals) it's worse than a bad loss in the regular season, you're getting bumped down. If you get a high quality win, it's weighted better than one in the regular season. If you get to the conference final it's a big bump as well. All other games are worth less, winning then doesn't move the needle very much.

How many of US don't watch so not to jinx? I bet it's a surprising percentage. This year has been awesome to pull up the box score post game. Particularly after having watched the opponent go on a run and switching the game off.

the last 1:40 was crazy, down 8 points the team never quit, Pedulla and Maddox with huge plays down the stretch. Maddox needs to shoot more, has one of the best pure shots on the team! If Pedulla can limit the turnovers, he will be a hell of a player!

I don't think 3 straight is the only way, but I think it would almost guarantee us getting in. Here's how I see it from worst-case to best:
0-2 regular season; 0-1 ACC tournament - no chance
1-1 regular season; 0-1 ACC tournament - no chance
2-0; 0-1 - maybe (25%)
1-1; 1-1 - maybe (50%)
2-0; 1-1 - almost definitely (90%)
2-0 ; 2+ ACC tournament wins - 100%
