Also, Khadim Sy got votes for 6th man of the year at Wake Forest
He's been in college since 2016
8-10+
Seems about right, I thought he had a legit shot at first team this year, but early struggles for him an the team weighed down this season. Mutts on the all defense team for sure. Pedulla on the all freshman team.
agree with you regarding Mutts, he should have been on the All-Defense team and a contender for Defensive Player of the Year. But VT apparently didn't nominate him for those.
All-Rookie team members are almost always starters. Griffin from Duke is the closest thing to a bench player and he still started 1/2 the season.
All-ACC Defensive Team
Mark Williams, F, Duke, 77 votes
Reece Beekman, G, Virginia, 69
Leaky Black, F, North Carolina, 55
Charlie Moore, G, Miami, 45
Wendell Moore Jr., F, Duke, 33
All-Rookie Team
Paolo Banchero, F, Duke, 77 votes
Terquavion Smith, G, NC State, 73
Blake Wesley, G, Notre Dame, 72
AJ Griffin, F, Duke, 66
Trevor Keels, G, Duke, 50
Yeah Pedulla was great for us but those 5 guys are on another level
You're right.
But I also think Pedulla has a pretty high ceiling. Four years in CMY's system is going to be really good for both him and VT. I expect him to make some of these post-season lists in the future.
Is it too early to pen him in as next year's starting PG?
No.
He better be
Pedulla, Maddox, and Cattoor, and Alleyne should be surefire starters next year
4 guard lineup with who as the big man?
We're Virginia Tech who needs big men?
Rodney Rice would like a word
Such a shame that Scheyer doesn't have any talent to work with as he takes over for K. Poor guy.
