It kind of seemed like they drew it up to look for Cattoor in the corner vs Hall who was gimpy -- or maybe whoever Hall was matched up with. That or CMY wanted to move the ball up the court with passes as that is faster than dribbling.

These guys better figure out FAST how to finish off a team. They were way up. Clemson whittled the lead down over the last 12 minutes. They took us out of our offensive scheme and we didn't go back to it - for over 12 minutes. That can't be repeated.

Can you imagine the amount of criticism CMY would be taking from the fan base for taking out Keve if that shot hadn't dropped? That was a very risky call but glad it paid off. My guess would be that the decision was made that we didn't want to play another OT.

100% grats to Maddox on that great shot, but also a call out for CMY who put in the five best shooters and went for the win. He would have gotten rocked by the media and fans if that shot had missed and going for the three (win) instead of the two (next OT).

I believe CMY said in the post game that he thinks Clemson's coach might have been caught "off guard" with the decision to take Keve out. So that quick decision might have thrown off the Clemson game plan *just enough* to give the shooters some room, and it worked.

It is so cold blooded to take (and make) that shot like he did. This whole year we have struggled with having no one to just go and get a bucket when we need one. So refreshing to see Maddox be that guy yesterday.

In football, sometimes it's better to be up 3 instead of 4 with a minute to go because opponent may play it safe for a FG attempt instead of going for the win with a TD.
In this game, Mutts missing that first FT may have been a blessing. He makes them both and Clemson probably holds for Hall to hit a game winning shot.
