No need to apologize. This is a different dude. Kid was amazing this tourney. Despite his troubles this season, over the last few games he showed why CMY had so much faith in him. His leadership was second to none.

This was the Storm Murphy that I was expecting to see from the very beginning of the season. Took some time to acclimatize but I'm thrilled with how things turned out. He made some sweet moves all tourney long.

While I don't think I made any egregious statements about Mr. Murphy and the rest of this squad, I will sign as well because I wasn't as active in my support as I should have been.
Thank you, Hokies! You've made us all proud!

It was great to see this come full circle, with Storm playing with the confidence, fire, and intensity that we all heard about after he transferred here. Like all good things, it just took a while for it to all come together for him and the rest of the team. But hey, if you were going to script his play, isn't this the best time of the season to get the maximum Storm? I'm excited to see where this goes! There's a Storm brewing.

Definitely his most complete game of the season. He didn't stuff the stat sheet, but most of his 6 assists (second-highest total in a game all season btw, the highest being 7 against UNC in the prior game) were extremely clutch. He still had a couple of plays where he let the shot clock get away from him and panic-slinged it to another player with like 1 second on the clock, but overall a very solid game.

Not just Storm but the whole team. I am on record multiple times as saying that anytime there's a big game or a moment inside a game gets a little intense, they don't know what to do. I thought that was a skill they would simply never figure out, and I wrote them off. They proved me wrong in a big way winning the whole damn conference and earning an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
Kudos to these guys for keeping their heads down and working their asses off. You never know who is going to play really well on any given night, but you know someone is. Will Aluma score 20 points and pull down 10 rebounds? Will Mutts get a triple double? Will Cattoor or Pedulla make five threes? Will Alleyne drop 20? Will Maddox drain jumpshot after jumpshot and then make the biggest one of them all? You just never know, but it's freaking awesome every time.
I hope they win one or two in the tourney. I'm not ready to see this team play its last game anytime soon.

I'm right there with you. We started the week with me expecting a slow choke of any 2nd half lead. Which, to be fair, we did against Clemson (thank god for BDMaddox). They were able to calm that down a bit against ND. By the time they got to UNC they shakily held that lead throughout. Wasn't necessarily comfortable but it was decisive. But they had their swagger back and went for the kill against Duke.
They keep this up and they could go far in the big tournament.

Yeah, it's funny how they gradually just stopped choking away second half leads a little more with each game. Clemson was a choke that led to overtime. Notre Dame was kind of a blown lead as Notre Dame got it back to five, but they held on to win by seven. UNC made things a little interesting cutting a 20-point lead down to 11, but I never actually felt threatened. They flat out worked Duke, though. If it wasn't for a garbage time three pointer, Tech would have won by 18, which would have been their largest lead of the game. If that trend continues in the NCAA tournament, oh boy.

Saw something Storm posted on his Twitter and wanted to post here for the non-tweeters. He currently has some ACC Champ merch for sale on Players Trunk
Players Trunk is a newer concept where athletes can sell their gear and merch. Want to buy a mens basketball polo worn by Kerry Blackshear? You can now do that for the low price of $35.

Same. I doubted you; still wanting a PG like somebody else who used to wear the 5.
You are the PG that won the ACC
You are 5.
It is official, the Storm has reached landfall in Brooklyn.
cosigned by Beards everywhere
Bro, storm. I hated so much. You have grown, dude. Become an asset instead of a liability. I am sorry for the slander because you've come to play

The growth and progression of Storm and this team as a whole has been nothing short of incredible. Somebody write a book about this turnaround
I'll cosign. He really came on strong second half of the season. I guess he just needed some time to adjust to P5.

Beast mode. Thank you from all Hokies. You carried us. We love you.
This team as a whole, apologies for doubting you earlier in the year
Storm was great.
Hunter had the game of a lifetime. Both of them were great tonight, and how could you not love it.
Yeah... my bad Storm, you got the juice now
Storm- we cool now, man.

Truly a team effort the 2nd half of the season. Anytime someone would go cool, somebody else would get hot.
I'm sorry about the things I said when I was mad. You're alright kid. Your Gritty is spot on too.
I don't think I said anything but I definitely thought a few unflattering things. Glad to be wrong
Between Storm, Cattoor, and Aluma, Duke just lost to Wofford
Put my name on the letter.
Can't remember a more enjoyable basketball season, especially considering how it started
Somebody got to him told him to stop passing too much and take some goodamb shots and he became the Middleton Maestro we all knew he could be
Representing my Middleton Ford license plate holders well, my boy
I apologize as well
I'd be down for getting a Murphy Jersey. Especially after watching him lead the troops like that.
I didn't follow this team very closey but I had my doubts about the CMY hire. I was wrong!

The storm isnt subsided yet, the next frontal assault is coming.
I hated when I should not of...... Sorry.
CMY so darn likeable

I agree on all the above, but in the tournament, we could always count on Aluma to get his 18-20 every game. Hope that continues in the NCAAT.
