#Hokies get some help on the D-line, getting a transfer commitment from Nebraska's Pheldarius Payne. He's from Suffolk originally. The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder had 40 tackles and three sacks in two years with the Cornhuskers. https://t.co/OR549N9kFKβ Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) March 21, 2022

A d-lineman with the last name Payne. I like it. Welcome aboard, and may the pain train find many opposing QBs!
Pheldarius Payne...First team all name team!
Welcome Home!!
Underrated movie
Filmed in Western Albemarle at Miller School, btw.
A lot of the extras in that movie were students from military schools in Virginia. I was at Randolph Macon Academy at the time and have friends who were in the big school competition scenes.
It's been deleted but one of the staffers tweeted more to come
Lots more? Lots of holes to fill, so pile them on please. Transfers and freshmen both.
Derek Jones followed this dude on Twitter.
We have to be getting close to the initial counter limit, even if the 85 scholarship limit takes care of itself.

One year of eligibility left, P5 experience, had met Coach Pry prior to JUCO, and is from VA. Hopefully will be a solid depth addition to the team!
Picking up guys from the portal to address areas of need. I like it
Hell yeah.
Go Hokies!
Welcome home! Hope he tears it up, but good to have a VA kid finish here either way.
Look he just wants to be a Hokie because those 3 sacks just weren't enough for him and he wants more. Welcome to Sacksburg!
At 260 where will he slot in? Would be amazing if he's quick enough to be a DE, otherwise he'd be like Corey Marshall on the inside
He was an Edge rusher at Nebraska so I think the plan is to have him slot in at DE
Looks like he was committed to NC State at one point, so if NC State wanted him at DE I'd want him at DE
Charlie Wiles is gone. You don't have to run a 4.4 to play end for Pry.
Yeah I was more so referring to speed for his weight, 260 is on the heavier side for college DEs unless they are quick. Kind of a tweener weight.
He was listed as an OLB for 'braska so....
Opposing qbs are in for some Major Payne!!!
Maybe they will be "Phel"-n-Payne????
Helps address a major area of need. Depth was looking scary on the DL this year.
All aboard the Payne train!

I get a chuckle off of the reebok logo on his jersey
