OT: Corolla fishing charter recommendation?

Does anybody have a fishing charter they would recommend in Corolla? Looking to catch some fish we can eat and just have fun, not looking for any trophies. Thanks!

Yep. Long ride to get Oceanside, and sound side in Corolla is almost freshwater. Oregon Inlet is your best bet. Pirates Cove if everything is booked up.

Avoid Miss Oregon Inlet. Same stuff they catch in the sound you can catch in the surf of Corolla without the seasickness. Be prepared to spend some serious dollars. The inshore charters are over $1000 with the tip now.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

Cheapest option would be going with Rob Alderman/OBX on the Fly. They use kayaks with torquedos on them so don't have to worry about paddling until you get to the fish. Puppy drum and speckled trout would be the targets

Can't spell DBU without Bud

Whatttttt? I gotta up my prices

I recommend checking with Bob's bait and tackle in Duck. I usually use the Finn Galley for Offshore out of Wanchese. Not the fanciest boat in the fleet but they do a good job catching fish. But check with Bob's bait and tackle for a best fit for something in-shore/near shore.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the tips. I'll check them all out. Hopefully I can get something booked.

Me.

Hi Hokeiflyguy,

It would be 3 possibly 4 adults May 31st. You can email me details at nate (the numbers six four eight) at gmail if that is easier. Sorry to be cryptic on the email just trying to avoid a bunch of spam from web scrapers. Thanks!

3 or 4 is going to be a lot for my flats boat and unfortunately, I can't swing May 31st. Good luck on your trip!

No problem. I'll keep you in mind if we head back to Corolla again. Any other charters you might recommend in the area?

Sounds good! Flat Out or Fly Girl out of Oregon Inlet. They will do spin and fly. Not sure if they will take 4 on a boat.
