#Hokies DT Bryce Goodner is in the transfer portal. He switched from OL to DL this spring. He signed in 2021 and redshirted last year. https://t.co/gSZGo5oLnQ— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) April 29, 2022
Of note: He mentions that he's transferring to be an OL. Perhaps he wasn't all about the position switch. #Hokies— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) April 29, 2022

that sucks. i remember when he signed, i thought he just looked like an athlete, and was going to be a hidden gem on the OL. but, i think some services had him as a 2* (if i remember correctly), so not surprising he didn't pan out.
best of luck to him
That's funny. He was just featured in a twitter post where he had won a wing eating contest. Was taking about how he was going to be the champ for four more years. I guess not.
That's why Vince McMahon wouldn't let Brett Hart leave to WCW with the title belt. Someone should've screwed him out of that wing championship!
This is exactly what I came here to post. I think the women's soccer team might have had a hand in this.
At least with a new coach this all feels like part of the transition/plan. I hate to see players leave, but hopefully these transfers are done for what's best for the player and the team.
Edited for clarity
edited because response on wrong post!
edited because sometimes you just have to go with the flow!
I appreciate all who committed and represented VT well. I believe he was always a "project" OL recruit so I hope he finds his home where he can get his playing time. I think with the state of our depth right now we would need to take an experienced OL from the portal. Hopefully with his scholarship freeing up we can make that happen
Doesn't surprise me since they tried him at DT this spring and he was behind Moore and Givens. Best of luck to him, hope we can get a OT from the portal!
Future first round pick, obviously
