Kevin Jones Interview over on TSL

I'm sorry if this is linked in other AD forum topics, but I felt this deserved to be up front.

Kevin Jones is a class act. He stays away from several "trap" questions from some of the interviewers. Great Hokie ambassador.

Also, he states at the end of the interview that he is graduating in May but is in "no hurry to leave the area". Sounds to me like he wants to be on the Hokie football staff or in the VT athletic organization! By being the only athlete being included in the AD selection committee he obviously has some credentials that VT likes. What does the TKP community think?

Yeah I was really proud of how the way he managed his answers after some potential tricky questions. He's a true Hokie and I'm glad he was involved in the process.

"Now Miami wants to talk about it." *Cue Enter Sandman*

If KJ were on staff with the football program, it would be totally fantastic. I'm sure he'd be able to help with the RBs coming in with his college and NFL experience. Who else runs around WVU twice, and scores a TD?

Never realized how well he speaks. Would be a great guy to have out there as a fundraising guy for the department.

Rip his freaking head off!

He's studying Industrial Design, which is in the architecture school. That doesn't sound like the major of a future football coach.

Good find. I didn't know that. He made a point to say that he would like to stay in the area after graduating this Spring.

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

Beamer received his degrees in "distributive education" and a Master's in "guidance." While a football coach does educate and guide young men, I wouldn't say that his degrees pertain to being a football coach.

He will design the industry of winning championships for our football team for many years to come.

Hokie, Hokie, Hokie, Hy!
Tech, Tech, VPI

It will be an industrial revolution,....

Billy Madison explains it well in "the puppy who lost his way"

He will be designing the Frank Beamer Terror Dome.

"Exit light..."

I could see him getting a masters at VT while being a GA (I believe the school pay for your masters if you are a GA) and then taking over lil' Beams spot when Shane moves on to a OC/HC job somewhere.

After watching this he seems to be the perfect candidate to be the "President" of the Hokie Club for the next couple of years. Hire a an entergetic COO with marketing fundraising expirence to handle the internals and let KJ be the public face of the club it could even be a part time gig while he finishes his degree and starts his career

Great guy, remember talking to him at west end. Was really humble and friendly. Would love for him to get more involved with the team.
