On September 4th I will be making my way down to Asheville for my 2nd concert of the year. This time its Ghost and Mastodon 🤘. I also like eating food😂 so I would like a lunch/dinner recommendation and a breakfast one if yall don't mind 😃

Samesies. I had it in Asheville a few years ago and then realized when I moved to charlotte there is one in Matthews about 10 min from my house. I was there last Friday.
Another for White Duck Taco. Haven't been to the one in Asheville, but the one Greenville is great. I don't see it on their menu anymore but if they have the pork belly with pickled watermelon rind taco, don't ask questions, just get it.
Man I'm excited to see all of these white duck they're just about to open in Charleston. Horrible location but if its that good it might not matter.
There used to be one on Folly Road on James Island but it closed a few years back. I think Charleston Sports Pub is there now, or at least that's what went in there when WDT closed.
I had no idea, I live right off Folly now. JI Sportspub moved to a new location off Maybank near Pour House in some new buildings the just built there. The Roost opened a new location where the sportpub used to be.
The new White Duck is going where Sticky Fingers (I don't even think that was there that long) was right over the Ravenel in Mt P.
Oh yeah, that's right! WDT had $1 modelo's during happy hour which was pretty sweet.

That's fair. I will admit, I'm a bit turned off by WW anyway because of nothing that has to do with their beer but everything to do with a bunch of UGA fans in that place and their *banter.
I fully admit its a pretentious take, but Asheville is so concentrated with breweries anyway.

cursus keme is my favorite location in the city, very good beer.
new orgin for fruited sours and hazies, next door to to cursus, also pretty damn good.
Burial just does good stuff in general. New Belgium for European style sours. Sierra Nevada for their Trip in the Woods series. Green Man for ESB and a Porter. The limited Cellarist I've had did not work for me. I have not tried Cursus or New Origin - have to add to my list for next time.
green man is not for me, but that's the beauty of avl, so many different places, vibes, beers, etc that something for everyone. downtown and south slope has changed so much in the last 10 yrs, i typically stay on the outskirts as much as i can.
Tupelo Honey is pretty good but very popular and a bit touristy. If you don't mind a little trek (15ish min) out of Asheville, Stoney knob Cafe in Weaverville is a place I always liked. If you like Mexican, Papa's & Beer is excellent. I haven't been in Asheville since 2014, though, so I don't know much about the food scene any more. Hard to go wrong.

Second on Stoney Knob. Also in Weaverville is the Glass Onion and Wel-Bred Cafe and Bakery. All awesome.
Glass Onion must be new? Is Wel-Bred Cafe there on the corner sort of across from Blue Mountain Pizza? I lived just off Main St. in Weaverville for a few years and I knew there was a bakery there but I think I only went there once
Nah, they've both been around for at least 5 to 7 years. Both on Main St. Downtown. Either side of Curtis Wright Outfitters. You must go!

We always stopped by Jack of the Wood downtown for beverages and bluegrass. They have food, but I never ate there.
Adding to the list: Mayfel's and Barleys are solid options. Certainly not top tier, but solid.
Tupelo Honey is decent, but the wait isn't worth it.
Seconded on Mayfels (went there for lunch on our day there last August). Also had a really good dinner at Wicked Weed Brewery that night.

Best of the best:
For dinner: Nine Mile (Jamaican-Italian fusion, either location)
For lunch: Barleys pizza, Sierra Nevada (a must-do, and also incredible for dinner), and Buxton Hall BBQ
Breakfast: Vortex donuts, or Biscuit Head in west Asheville (get there early)
You can't go wrong with any of these
It's been a few years since I've been to Asheville, but it amazed me Biscuit Head was in a office park setting and not downtown. Loved their food.
There are two biscuit heads. The one on Haywood is the one to go to. I will say the only time I've ever been and didn't have a ludicrous wait was the day after Christmas. Both are usually jam packed.

The only problem with Sierra Nevada is the wait times can get crazy. Really cool place and great food though.
My recommendation for Sierra Nevada is to not go during peak dinner times. I've walked right in when they first open for lunch, and at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday. I have also decided not to wait and just got a few bottles of their Trip in the Woods and left after finding out the wait was over an hour at 5:30 on a Saturday.
Second for Buxton hall. Great food and in the middle of all the breweries downtown.
BH is great! If you are looking for a change of pace from the many great beers around town, they have some suprisingly good coctails. The pullstring cowboy is my favorite.
I highly recommend Zambra for amazing small plates, great bar, and somewhat intimate setting. White Duck Taco is good but a bit overrated. Isa's French Bistro has an amazing brunch.
Now that Burial serves food its the best place in town.

i go once, twice a yr, ill let others handle food, mostly, but i'm a huge fan of forestry camp if you want fancy, ambiance and great drinks, not just burial beer.
if you want brewery recommendations especially hidden gems outside of south slope and downtown, i gotcha.

cider can be ok at times. i've had really really good small batch stuff, that's super limited, that i would keep if i could.
I tend to avoid downtown on weekends, but Curate does some top notch food if you can get a reservation. I like Sunny Point Cafe. You can get food at OWL Bakery, Ghan Shan, or Pizza Mind and carry it to the shared court with Archetype brewing for a mini-food court experience if you have different people with different tastes. I like the food at Ghan Shan.
Curate is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, If already booked up I think bar seating is fist come.
Others mentioned them already, but Salsas and Biscuit Head are both great.

Wicked Weed brewpub is one of my favorites and right downtown.
Buxton Hall is awesome but Chai Pani takes the cake for me. Meherwan Irani (owner of Chai Pani and the AWESOME spice brand Spicewalla) has been nominated for 5 James Beard Awards for Best Restaurant in the Southeast. He's also a really awesome dude. It's a go-to for me whenever I'm in AsheVegas.

Grove Park Inn is an awesome spot to have a drink on the patio as the sun sets. Inside, they also have two of the biggest stone/boulder fireplaces you'll ever see which are a great spot in the winter.

Not a food joint but I'd like to take the opportunity to plug my high school friend's band which is based out of Asheville - Fancy and the Gentlemen. Definitely not in the same style as Ghost or Mastodon, but if you are in town on the 2nd, they've got a show at Cork & Keg.
