It's that time of the year for all of you degenerates like me ready to lose their ass betting on 18-22y/o carrying around an egg shaped object. I think hokieME usually does these but I'm getting the mid week itch and its Week 0 so there aren't really many teams to read across.
The Nebraska Line is intriguing. Neutral site (in Ireland?). Nebraska throttle NW last year but its a completely new team.

Was hoping someone would make a thread like this. Maybe with the brain trust of all TKP we might be able to pull some winners out. The 2 biggest trends I've seen are people liking the unders in the Nebraska/NW and Illinois/Wyoming games, but we all know betting the unders is no fun.
Yeah also saw everyone like the Nebraska under....I have a hard time betting that when they scored over 50 themselves last year. I'm a pretty big Nebraska fan and I don't think I'm gonna touch that game.
I'm having a hard time finding anything I like this week but it is week 0 so that's pretty much always the case. Leaning towards the Hawaii under and Charlotte to cover that 7 right now.
New Mexico State moneyline is the Sickos play week 0. Nevada has the worst returning production since Bill Connelly started tracking it. Plus you get to feel good about backing our boy Jerry Kill.
I love the thought process behind this play, but NMSU is just so awful. I have a feeling this is gonna end up being Nevada by 13 or something around that
If you can take up the banner on this, I'd appreciate. Since last season, I've changed jobs and this IT department has the audacity to limit what websites I can go to in my own damned time on the clock. Needless to say, I can't easily put this post together on my computer. I had a nifty excel setup pulling data from the websites and importing to the TKP post. Ain't nobody got time to do that on a phone.
EDIT: also, NW (+13) all day, errday
If I remember I will continue to make these posts, wouldn't be too hard to scrape oddshark into a spreadsheet every week. Might write a quick app to do so if I find time.
Give me:
I don't really like any of these. My heart is definitely rooting for Hawaii and Wyoming over the bottom feeders from the Big deuce 💩 conferences. But my brain says points for Illinois and definitely Vandy are the safest plays
Thank God it's here. I've lost too much money on Chinese Super League and MLB live lines. I'd rather lose it on CFB.
Always remember ^^
For what it's worth:
I quietly parlayed Nebraska -13.5/u49.5 and didn't tell anyone because it felt stupid. this feels more justified
Yea, Nebraska is tough to read. It's tough to know if last year was bad luck, or if it was the canary in the coal mine
Well with the last batch of G5->P5 coaches I'm thinking the latter unless Martinez was holding the team back somehow
New OC too - Mark Whipple from Pitt is going to Nebraska. Scott Frost isn't running his system any more.
I don't know much about their offense from last year but I know Special Teams blew a couple games for them and they lost so many close games. If Whipple improves them just a little on offense, they could be 8-4 this year
Taking Illinois/Vandy/Utah State ML parlay at like minus 160
I like following Bud Elliott he writes on 247 and does the cover 3 podcast. A few bets he talked about that I like, Northwestern team total under 18.5, Illinois 1H -6.5, Hawaii/Vandy 1H total over 26.5, New Mexico St +9
After a week of deliberation I'm taking Nebraska/Northwestern under (51.5) and FAU -7
Best of luck to everyone this week unless you took opposing bets to me.
At least FAU came through.
I just took a shot at Nebraska -14 and the Over at +300. I'll likely do some live bets if some teams get off to unexpected starts and skew the live lines a bunch.
Took Nevada -9 and Vandy -9.5. thankfully the winnings were enough to cover some bold futures and week 1 parlays I'd already made
NW (+13)
NW (+7, placed at halftime)/Illinois (-13)
Not an extensive bet slip by any means but not a bad way to start the season
NW +13 and NW ML 🤑
