Protocol when recruit follows you on twitter

Today a recruit followed me on Twitter. With the NCAA rules I don't want to mess up anything for him or Tech, but I don't want to offend him by blocking him? Thought?

I assume you meant McKenzie. He follows just about everyone that follows him (myself included, I feel special. Hooray). It's really not a big deal at all, just refrain from tweeting at him and all that. And of course don't be a complete moron and offer (or pretend to offer or imply that you might sometime be offering) ANYTHING at all to him when he comes up here/makes his decision. You'll be fine.

No not him. The only recruit I've ever talked to was guys who go/went to my highschool and only discuss common friends and high school topics. I also don't follow recruits.

I'd get off the grid and lay low for a while. You're going to need to delete your twitter account, and probably destroy your phone, too.

You might find this article helpful.

It should all blow over in a year or two. Good luck.

Not the bagman VT deserves, but the bagman VT needs right now.

Or go join the UVA football team, no one will see me there.

Haha this is true, it doesn't get much more covert than a UVA spring game.

In all seriousness, this isn't a big deal at all. Twitter users are free to follow whoever they want. No need to block anyone.

Just don't try to pose as a fan at UVa's spring game. It will be too suspicious and you'll immediately be handed over to the authorities.

People in brick rotundas shouldn't throw quiche.

Excellent sigline.
I'm picturing something Billy Joel's glass houses album cover excepts a guy in a tux throughing a wedge of quiche at a brick wall.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

That's funny to me.

"You maaaaay be riiight...."

I'm having trouble deciphering if this advice is coming from petebuddywilson or Daniel L. Crandall, Caveman Lawyer...

If he's a solid VT commit, I'd say you're fine. If he has an offer from Bama, report him as spam.

"We were at the pinnacle, and we did it for years," Foster says. He pauses, nods, takes a deep breath. "And I did it with the best guy in the business."
