Saw this over on TSL, so I got the link to the scan. Here it is:

Looks attractive with nice mix of included benefits and incentivized line items. Also a cap for the first year. Also a guaranteed minimum 5% raise every year. I'm not gonna analyze this right now (too busy), just making it more accessible for TKP community.

That signing bonus is a lot more than I'm getting. Maybe I chose the wrong career path.
You look at any coaches salary and know you were in the wrong career path.
*Only coaches at major colleges/universities would that be considered a 100% accurate statement. DII, DIII, High School - not so much.
Trying looking at basketball ref salaries. Those guys get anywhere from a grand to a couple grand a game plus per diem depending what position they hold for that particular game. And you don't even have to be right most of the time, just show up and wear the strips.
Interesting to see it starts February 17th.. would make sense since the job has to be open for a month or so but we were able to make an emergency hire
Who the heck is Bradley Babcock??
Sam Rogers didn't like Whit's name, so he changed it.
Nice!
i have been thinking whit babcock sounds like a weatherman or sports guy on the 6 o'clock news.
You could live like a king in blacksburg with that comp plan.
I think on the back side of the contract it actually says he'll get a castle. The moat is thrown in if the indoor practice facility is done by 2015.
Lol! Babcock.
I am surprised there are no fundraising specific's in the contract for bonuses. I would have thought that he could have really raked it in. Those all seem to be athletic performance based that are not nearly his to control. I am definitely in the wrong business.
Thats a really really great point. I'm surprised that isnt included.
I think (and my hope is) the athletic department figured in order to obtain the outlined goals/bonuses, significant fundraising would have to be conducted. Getting two birds with one stone hopefully.
I'd wager it's because Hokie Club doesn't report to the AD. It wouldn't be fair to have someone's evaluation be based on something he technically has no control over.
