Virginia Tech's 19th commit of the 2023 class. He joins his cousin, Thomas Williams, in VT's class. He is from the talent rich, and often Clemson pipeline, D.W. Daniel High School in Central, SC (basically Clemson).

Welcome to the FAM
Clemson has zero recruits from South Carolina btw
So what I am hearing is that we're out recruiting Clemson!
i have a feeling clemson doesn't have any SC recruits yet because they don't want any SC recruits yet. they can get plenty of SC recruits any time they want to
I think this is pretty spot on. Their recruiting success has been heavily predicated on preying on regions of the southeast during windows where the in-state teams were down. They did this in various parts of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee and successfully established pipelines in those states as a result. They snipe a few guys out of Alabama, California, and other areas as well. They have a regional and nationally focused recruiting project and haven't been reliant on in-state talent in many years. They have lost some in-state battles over the years for a few key players, but overall I think you're exactly right.
In this specific case, given the deep ties of DW Daniel to Clemson and their coaches, I will not be confident if Clemson or OU (Venables) doubles back and offers Kelley late in the cycle.
I'm pretty sure King James was joking.....LOL
Of course he was. However, I saw an opportunity to expand on recruiting in my home state.
#SC2VT ?
