First ever game for me was 2002 vs. Ark State. Was a typical early season matchup. You've picked a helluva game to be your inaugural one!
That was my second game. First was Western Michigan the year before. Both were Hokie Kids Club games. First big game was USC at FedEx and we had second row 50 yard line seats that I still don't know how my dad got. Best guess is former Redskins DE Bill Brundige was his boss at the time.
My first ever VT game was "The '83 Squeaker" at UVa, but my first game at Lane was...wait for it...the VT-WVU game in 1986. Slugfest that the defense kept us in the whole way, sound familiar?
First game in Lane was 85... as an MV. I was the eastern shore when we ran onto the field and made the state outline :)

It is interesting that they haven't announced the uniform combo yet.
Doesn't seem like the Pry staff has uni reveals before kickoff (so far). I can't recall one through the first three games. Also keep in mind Pry came from Penn State that seems to rarely vary their uniforms.

Posted here, just for the Thursday game day vibe. Entrance from 11/8/2012 entrance, FSU game. The video between the "Let's Go Hokies" chant and the first notes of Sandman was superb. The best part is right before the last narrator line in the stadium video, the stadium goes silent. Chills. Hope we have something extra planned for tonight.

East Tennessee State, 1980 was my first game in Lane. Interestingly, the last game in Lane that season (which I also attended) was against WVU.
