So, as some of you may have saw, over the weekend I said that I read some comments from the Sons of Saturday calling for some of the coaches to be fired. Those claims were challenged, and after digging, I have not been able to find the messages that I thought I saw. At this point, all I can say is that I must have seen some fans of them with those comments and mixed that up thinking it was them. That was wrong.
I have retracted the comments that I have made and scrubbed them from the site. Didn't mean to falsely accuse, and for that, I am sorry.

There was a guy on twitter this morning claiming Bowen should be fired and there is plenty of talent on the team, etc. People are flat crazy. This staff has coached FIVE games.
People in here have been calling for Bowen to be fired after they had only played 4 games. Crazy doesn't even begin to describe that
If Bowen was in year 5 and he had Ryan Williams, Tyrod, Boykin, etc. and was having trouble moving the ball against UNC, sure. But none of those dudes are on this roster. Not even close.

right you are! When I posted it, I didn't think it seemed quite right. I even googled Spaz to check and he looks near enough to what I remember that I just went with it. Definitely meant Addazio, though. I'll leave it for posterity. Don't make the same mistakes I made!!

Sweet. I haven't done leagues in a long time. Honestly I don't believe I've taken my cues out of their cases in 10 years (sigh).
I originally went to watch a friend play for a team; the friend got bored and quit but the team said " hell you're coming to watch every week-why don't you join the team?" so I did and its been almost 15 years now. Right now I play 8 ball on Tuesday nights (and in a weekly Saturday night 9 ball tournament at the bar. For some sessions I payed as many as three different league nights, but that gets pricey when you add up the league fee, alcohol, and Ubering home so I cut back. Still my favorite times of the week except fall Saturdays in Lane (yes-even this year).
The one positive of the 11AM Wofford kick was I got home by 530 - in time to play in the pool tournament that night.(Long day considering getting up at 6am, driving to Blacksburg from friend's house in WVA, tailgating hard for two hours-first ones in Lot 18 that day lol-, watching the game, driving 3 hours back to Richmond and staying out at the bar til 1AM. Lot harder at age 57 then it was in my younger days but gotta have fun when I can)
I played the league scene for a number of years before wife and kids. Made many trips to Baltimore for regionals. Still have all the old patches in my case. 7 for 9 ball and 6 for 8 ball. Although I made 7 status long to get a patch in 8 ball one session, i just couldn't keep there. Ah, the good ol' days.
