Kaleb Smith is a great, classic Hokie success story that this program has always loved to celebrate, but his success has been overshadowed by how bad the many things around him have been. It was lot easier to celebrate Sam Roger's childhood fan -> walk-on -> important scholarship contributor because we were doing better back then. Kaleb Smith did the same thing, turning down offers to bet on himself in Blacksburg.
100% this. Kaleb Smith has done this in spite of everything around him being difficult. A true testament to his work ethic and character

Pry is going to have to rely on these types of players - veterans that stick around and develop- for him to win. I don't see us signing 20 4 star players in a class, etc.
