Looks like a tough schedule for us with some interesting stretches, but exciting! GO HOKIES

LETS GO!!!
HOKIES!
AW HELL YEAH
Edit: We didn't draw either LOLUVA or Dook for home games on winter break. This is most excellent. Also, where is UNCheat? I'm assuming they scurred of us.
First game.
Leg. Thanks for the correction. I was looking at our schedule on Hokiesports. Oddly enough it's not on the page yet.
Best draw we've received since entering the league. No major opponent over break. Pretty maintainable away schedule. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think we are going 20-0 in conference. Actually 19-1, forgot it is forbidden to win @Louisvile.
So it is written...
At least you're being realistic
That early season UNC game should have some juice - no clue if we will get ranked to start the season, but UNC is likely to start the season top 5 I imagine if not higher.
I don't think UNC thinks of us as a rival per se but I get a feeling that after how last year went they'll be ready to play us.
That stretch down the end - Miami, @Louisivlle, @Duke, Florida State......
Looking on the bright side, we should be ready to play tournament teams after that.
Brad Brownell twice. That always fucking sucks. Maybe we get lucky.
I can't believe they buried the lede.
That is, your defending ACC champion Virginia Tech Hokies
GOOD POINT.

No true road game until December 21? Nice.

So fighting on that bubble again, eh? Better hope the ACC is stronger this year to boost that bubble resume then. Our OOC schedule is rather weak. Any slip ups early could make it really hard to boost your resume later if the conference sucks.
Or we could just win the conference tournament again.
Win one of UNC/Duke, split the UVA series and don't shit the bed against BC/Pitt/Clem and the in conference schedule should help. Also need to not lose stupid OOC games early on
If we win it all then there is no bubble to worry about, so might as well win it all. Again.
Hey it's up to us to prove why we deserve better! Journey starts 11/7 let's get it.
is it too soon for a butts for mutts gif?!
Never to early. He came back!
No, but some new ones would be welcome.
Maybe I'm misinformed or living off the fact that we won the ACC Tourney last year, but with our returning players, shouldn't we be more on the side of comfortably in vs being a bubble team?
Keve is a big loss, but Basille can ball. The guys are confident, count me very cautiously optimistic
We lost our best player... played very medicore in spots for stretches last year, needed a buzzer beater to beat another shit fucking shit Brownell team from a football school, and we play in a tough league- Louisville will be better, Miami will be better, ND will be better. I think we are a tourney team, but it won't be a lock until late Feb.
Might wanna pump the brakes on that specific part. They lost an exhibition to D2 Lenoir-Rhyne and barely beat Chaminade.
They were a bubble team last year that likely was not making the tournament as at-large bid. It's not clear on the surface that the team talent improved either.
Roster Changes:
What the media sees is the following: lose Aluma and replaced with a transfer from a lower-tier conference. And based on the fact they were a bubble team last year, they don't see VT as better than a bubble team this year. It's not a bad assessment, but it underscores the fact that VT didn't play at their true potential for most of the early part of the 21/22 season which put them squarely on the bubble.
I also don't think VT is getting credit for the their experience and development in their roster, especially Maddux. I think Maddux has potential to develop into the best play-maker on the team this year. Combine that with the experience of Mutts, Cattoor, and Basille, and Pedulla's ability to run the point, this team could be really good.
Leg for the Ted lasso reference
I also think people are sleeping on CMY's boys this year. I scoffed when I saw we were picked to finish seventh
