Congrats VTGM! Here's to the true old guard. The man who had so many turkey legs and spent so much time on here that Joe pretty much had to make him a mod. Next time I'm in Blacksburg, I'll have to bring the ElectricNet™ for old time's sake.

Man, re-reading that thread was just what I needed today. It's good to be reminded of better days. We were so young. So innocent. So fully dipped in dork matic

Thank you all for many years of fake internet points! But seriously, it has been a lot of fun as a member of the TKP community. My days of posting constant memes and such may be a bit behind me with a busy life now, but I always like hanging out here with all of you discussing all things VT.

Wow. I was a long time watcher. But my first post was about battle at Bristol and being mad that Tech team hotel was the holiday inn and Tennessee got the Marriot. Explains the loss is my conspiracy.

Ooofff mine was 10/1. I took about a year off slacking in the shadows though. Coma will do that to you but going to try to be consistent for the Hoops season at least.

Indeed, though I am of the computational persuasion. I have colleagues who would love some buffers made and apparatus cleaned, though. My GPU exhaust fans could use a good dusting if you're in the mood.

Would it be funny if we downvoted you enough to drop you below 100k? Kinda like the RB who rushes for 1000 yards and then gets tackled behind the line as time expires and he loses his bonus.
Just kidding...have some legs!

Shit, my 10 year mark passed last month and I didn't realize till just now. (10 years with an account anyway, I first found TKP in 2010 and became a regular lurker in 2011)
VTGuitarMan is an all-around great human. I wish I visited Blacksburg more regularly to have more beers with him. We're all extremely fortunate to have him around. I'm always impressed by how levelheaded he is in dealing with what goes on around here. I especially can't believe such a smart dude wants to deal with this much bullshit. Cheers friend! 🍻

I appreciate that, Joe. And I appreciate what you've built and continue to support here. More beers in the future for sure; hope to see you in Blacksburg soon!

100,000 Turkey Legs... That's gotta be worth something!
so many expired hardee's coupons. So many

OK, but you have to catch Mark from Winchester first.
I'd suggest starting your search in Winchester. My dad's name was Mark.
That's an all-around classic TKP sub-thread.
I remember like 5 years ago when I asked for backstory on that one and no one gave it to me.
I think I finally have it thanks to you, Horse. I'm forever indebted.

Why does everyone always say 'fake' internet points. Doesn't feel accurate.
The points are REAL internet points. They just happen to be worth nothing
Maybe we should call them worthless internet points
Pssh, bragging rights...duh.
JK, thanks for putting up with us (well, most of us.... you mod you).
Oh man, we're also coming up on some key (play) birthdays among the top 5:
11/27: our resident RichRod cheerleader hits a decade on the site
1/10: VTGM notches his own decade of dork magic
Jesus - this just made me look up mine and realize i'm here a decade in June. Where the hell does the time go?
Twitter's telling me it's my 7 year anniversary with them. And I originally only signed up to participate in #GamedayForFrank.

Very happy to have you back and participating Lieutenant!
Youngins. I've been here over 11 years *shakes my cane at the kids on my lawn*
Oof...got you by 14 months...
It feels like I need a Reddit-style "cake day" emoji to show up.
I think it means we now have to go and make his buffers and clean the gel electrophoresis apparatus he uses.
You are a fellow biochemist, right?
Indeed, though I am of the computational persuasion. I have colleagues who would love some buffers made and apparatus cleaned, though. My GPU exhaust fans could use a good dusting if you're in the mood.
Hugh Freeze can give you the number of someone to help you out there
No no no the fans are meant to PREVENT flames...
If Joe accidentally sneezed and hit the reset button y'all would be so butthurt.
Would it be funny if we downvoted you enough to drop you below 100k? Kinda like the RB who rushes for 1000 yards and then gets tackled behind the line as time expires and he loses his bonus.

How's the air up there?
I'm still a little bit downwind from Alum, so not as fresh as you might think.
Wow, I just realized I passed my 10 year birthday. Although the last 2 years have felt like an eternity.
Solidly in the mid 300s and page 4 on the big board here- I read and give legs more than I comment-and my name really IS pronounced "Kevin".
VTGM is the MAN
(not random, of course, I just find this GIF funny - thanks man!)
Shit, my 10 year mark passed last month and I didn't realize till just now. (10 years with an account anyway, I first found TKP in 2010 and became a regular lurker in 2011)
There's just nothing better
Same. I thought Joe was supposed to send us a cake (pie or cookies...in my case) for our anniversary.
Where's my 48 free Carol Lee Donuts?!?!?
This should be the prize. My kids both still ask to go back to Blacksburg, pretty sure it's mostly for the donuts.

That's . . . not usually how I see Frank emote about a tie at the end of regulation...
There were points scored in that game.
Faculty? You banking all those legs on university time?? 😀😀. Congrats keep up the great input and content.

I have always enjoyed our conversations here a great deal. I can only imagine how much fun we would have in person. Until we meet, my friend!
