The Ladies play Bucknell tonight on ACCNx at 7PM. This should be another tune-up game for the Hokies. Bucknell lost to St. Joseph's 66-49. The Bisons are a mature team starting 2 seniors, 2 juniors and a soph.
Their tallest starter is 6'2, senior Emma Shaffer, no. 52, who had 11 pts and 8 boards in their first game. Their other senior starter,5'8 guard Tai Johnson, no. 14, was 5 of 6 from the field and did not attempt a three. Shaffer, Johnson and #33 Julie Kulesza scored in double digits. I don't think they will do that well against the Hokies.
The team shot 37% overall and 33% from three on 5 of 15 shooting. They were out rebounded 29-27. And also had 17 turnovers. They did make 10 of 11 free throws.
This should be another game for Coach Brooks to evaluate players and groupings while cruising to an easy victory.

Ladies are not sharp tonight.
Amoore with a three to end the first quarter and put the Hokies up 13 - 11.
Ladies up 31-23 at the half; but they are not looking like the #13 team in the country. Defense is not good and they are not shooting well. Let's hope the second half goes better.
46-33 Hokies at the end of 3 quarters.
Ladies pulled away with a much better second half, 67-41. Fam!

Had to watch on replay when I got home last night. Played like we did not want to win. Not feeding Kitley, not setting or fighting through screens. Too much 1-1 by the guards. We sucked and rolled them anyway. Damn..........
