Week 1 Other Men's Basketball games

After watching Notre Dame get bailed out by officials against Radford, am enjoying watching them struggle against Youngstown State now.

It's 43-41 in second half right now.

Louisville is bad. Like really really bad.

So it's really going to bad when we lose to them then?

Still really bad. They just lost to App St. So for those keeping track, they lost a scrimmage to D2 Lenoir-Ryne, barely won a scrimmage against Chaminade, and haven't won any games that count yet losing to Bellarmine, Wright St, and App St.

Elsewhere, BC was a 20 point favorite and lost to Maine. Florida St is 0-3. While some other ACC teams are getting wins, some of the margins against lesser opponents are still a little slim. So...yeah. Not looking good to start out for the ACC having a bounce back year.

And Syracuse just got beat bad by a patriot league team for the second year in a row....remind me again how Boheim hasn't been shown the door?

No one else wants to coach in upstate New York

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

Belien tried but something happened that no one will talk about.

I know VT has some interior defense issues to tighten up, but even so I don't see anyone on our ACC slate of opponents that I look at and think "that's a guaranteed loss for VT".

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

UNC, Duke, and UVA are good, but lesser VT teams have beaten teams that good before. We get UNC at home, we can beat UVA anywhere and Cassell is Duke's 2nd worst venue record wise (UNC being the worst)

Saw the last 5 minutes of GWebb-UNC and yes they pulled away at very end and shut the door, but they left the door open for GW very late in that game. I didn't watch much, but somehow seemed UNC had trouble scoring.

Watched bits and pieces of Duke-KU game. My impression is that UNC and Duke both rely too much on their athleticism, which wins them most games. But hopefully that makes them vulnerable when facing a well coached team like VT. CMY has his team playing by a system, relying on the system to get them open looks and open shots. I'll take that all day! Just hope we pick up defensively so that we can give the athleticism of UNC enough trouble.
