...too soon?
The 2014 class is in the books and I think we will all agree that this is one of the better recruiting classes on paper. However, more importantly than average star rankings, this class focused on and addressed several positions of need - - the Hokies loaded up on offense signing multiple QBs, RBs, WRs, and OL. In addition, we picked up 2 big physical safeties in CJ Reavis and Holland Fischer, 2 athletic backers in Melvin Keihn and Raymon Minor, and some talented defensive linemen in Ricky Walker, Steve Sobczak, Vinny Mihota, and Kevin Bronson. It goes without saying that Torrian's cupboard will not be bare, as he picked up a few more DBs, and he will develop talent as good as anyone on the staff.
Of course, there will be some attrition, and some of the 2014 recruits will not pan out.
But with that, what do you think the major needs are in 2015?
Quarterback: Loeffler will probably try to take 1 or 2 per year, I would guess.
RB: Again, I would assume 1 or 2 per year after this year's haul.
WR: Again, the staff can really focus here after this year's haul.
Offensive Line: I'd personally like to see 4-5 every year, with a focus on tackles next year.
Defensive Line: Ends and tackles will be a big priority in 2015.
Linebackers: Probably should try to find a few more LBs, with a focus on Mikes.

Anything less than the #1 class in the Nation, and its a disappointment from which we need to learn and grow.
Starts this Saturday with our first Junior Day. Gotta love 'crootin.
In all honesty it will be a smaller class with a heavy defensive focus.
1) Tim Settle
2) Defensive Tackle
3) Corner (already addressed in part with Ashton White.)
4) Deep threat wide receiver.
5) Offensive tackle
Remember, we're off to a great start with 4-star DE Michael Barnett and 4-star DB Ashton White.
My priority list:
1. Austin Clark - we need to get 4-star offensive tackles from in the state...
2. Tim Settle / Darvin Taylor / Josh Sweat / Harry Levis / Clein Ferrel - these 5 dudes are all really good and would provide depth at positions of need in 2015 and 2016.
3. Tremaine Edmunds / Rick DeBerry - we don't have too many LBs on the board at this point, so let's go get the ones we got.
4. #AllOfTheFiveStarQuarterbacks
Agree on Austin Clark. Really good player. Settle was dominant when I watched him in person earlier this year. And I am falling all over myself if they get Ricky Deberry. I have not seen enough of the other guys to have an educated opinion yet.
My priority list would be, in order, DT, LB, CB, WR, DE, TE, OL, S, QB, P/K, FB, RB. I see 1 QB and 1 RB next year due to current numbers at the position. Would take additional if they were elite prospects. I'm hoping for at least 5 along the DL, 3 WR, 4 between CB and S, 1-2 TEs, 2 LB, and 3 OL. That's about 21 total recruits
Because the 2014 class was so big, I'm guessing that means we won't have room for a very large class in 2015? Will we be able to address all our positions of need?
Everyone knows we're just going to recruit the top 20 tight ends in the country, and then convert them to positions of need as we see fit.
If we recruit any more RBs my head will explode because I will start to forget them
