#8 Iowa State lost late on 11/27 to #6 UNC so not sure if the loss impacted the voting released that Monday.
I think best case we move up two spots to 7th but most likely to 8th with UNC dropping to like 11 or 12. Notre Dame beating UConn handily will make everyone forget the Maryland loss.
Men's side
#25 Ohio State lost to #17 Duke
#20 Michigan State lost to Notre Dame
I would expect to see the Hokies around 30-32 based on votes.

+1000, and also in the early '80s and the "Bob Ueker mask" games when the fans (students) received a technical foul for frisbee-ing large "Maul Memphis" cards onto the court after meny egregious calls. We (VT with Dell Curry) knocked them (Memphis St.) off, at least once when they were ranked #1.

lol my entire dorm had the cops called on us in college because someone may or may not have been launching water balloons from a stairwell at crowds gathered in the quad during a live broadcast on campus tv. In the winter

I was in Lee Hall in the mid 80s but had friends in Pritchard that had several times had FURNITURE thrown into the central 'courtyard" area of the dorm.
Side note- I miss those days when the prairie quad was wide open from Lee, Oshag and Pritchard over to War Memorial gym (where they since have built three dorms in the same space! I DON'T miss the 50-60 false alarm fire alarms we had the first quarter those were installed (including on move -in day). (Also don't miss the traffic backing up from Southgate all the way to the interstate on move-in days or graduation days.)

Twice-unranked Hokies win in 1983,(with freshman Dell Curry) and then again in 1986 with Curry again(though technically Memphis was #2 but about to be #1 since UVA had beaten UNCheat over the weekend. I remember the headline after that second game was "Welcome to Virginia-check your undefeated record at the border)!

I was at the second game -it was so loud you literally couldn't even hear the pep band playing. That was when students had 4500 of the 10,000 seats. (I was in line for tickets sleeping on the sidewalk for Louisville and Memphis State game tickets for 36 hours.) I know financially with being in the ACC and all, we can't afford to do that any more-- but damn it was great as a student in the md '80s! I never missed a single home game except when it was over holiday breaks.

If you want quiet go to the Library (or maybe a classroom in Chapel Hill--we know how packed those lectures are!) I think this is the same tarhole who complained about Lane being loud and Howell not being able to hear.

Men moved up to #29 in AP and #27 in Coaches. Much higher move than I expected.
If we keep winning the rankings will take care of themselves. Dayton should be a good game.

I've never seen a big game in Cassell, i saw a lot of great teams beat us, but never a big game.
We'd always do the 5minute walk down, at 5 minutes into the first quarter we'd walk down and sit in the close seats, like first 10 rows.
