Everybody survived, everybody advances.
As the season is winding down, I'm considering a rules change that no two players can pick the same teams, first come first serve. Thoughts?
Rules reminder (changes from Round 1 in italics)
- Pick one team each week. If that team loses, you're out. If that team wins, you move on to the next week. Ties are considered losses, and that participant is out.
- You can only pick each team once.
- If you're the last one standing, you win.
- If you haven't picked by the time the first game to be played that week has started (e.g. the Thursday night game, Bills at Rams, for week one), you can still pick, so long as you pick a game that hasn't started yet.
- If all remaining participants for a week lose or tie (i.e. nobody's pick wins), then that week resets, and those participants move on to the next week.
- You may change your pick, so long as neither your old nor your new picks have started their games. This must be done in a new comment, not by editing your original comment.
- When the game resets (as is happening this week), all previously used teams are available to be picked.

Re: updating the rules:
With only three left this week, I'd say its not super likely that all three survive the regular season with four more picks to make after this week, and all of us starting to run out of 'good' teams to use. Should two or more of us still be alive after week 18, I'd vote to extend into the playoffs, with all the playoff teams available even if you used them during the regular season, but the team you pick to win also has to cover the spread in order to stay alive.
I can't get behind spread etc. that's why I don't gamble unless it's straight up.
For the rules change, I don't think I would like that change. It probably would eliminate more people faster which would be cool, but it also makes things way more dependent on people just happening to be here when the next thread is made!
Two things:
1. This would only be for once the survivor league has gone for a certain number of weeks, not at the beginning (or reset).
2. I could create a set day/time to post the survivor league post.......aw hell, there's no way I'll be able to hold to that.
Never mind!
Maybe if no one has won before the last two weeks of the regular season, the surviviors have to pick two teams each of the last 2 weeks. If one guy has a better record (2-0 or 1-1) than the others on week 17, he wins. If everyone has the same record, repeat the last week 18.
First come first served isnt a great idea imo. If it comes down to week 18 and multiple competitors are alive, i propose each contestant picks their survivor game as normal and then also predicts winners of the remaining games, with tie broken in favor of the best guesser
This is a pretty damn solid idea, I must say.
