Flynn with the pin to put the hokies up 6-0
Latona with a 18-5 MD. 10-0 Hokies
Gerardi with a 14-1 MD. 14-0 hokies
Henson with a 19-3 Tech fall. 19-0 Hokies
Ulrey with a forfeit win. 25-0 Hokies
That's too bad. Would have been a good chance to get Ulrey some more matches. The more experience the better for his development.
Brady with a pin. 31-0 Hokies
Lewis with the pin. 37-0 hokies
Bolen with a 16-1 tech fall
42-0 Hokies
Smith with the 14-3 MD. 46-0 Hokies
Wrestling out there scoring more points than the football team
Catka with the pin. 52-0 hokies win
Got 52 out of the maximum 60 team points
Let's watch the rest of the women's game while we wait for hokies vs Stanford 😎
52 points? Dayum.
Brady what are you doing
Hokies up 18-9 with 2 matches to go
Lewis got hurt pretty bad. I would guess knee sprain or ACL but that's pure speculation. Worst case scenario for Hokies.
Hokies win the dual 22-12
Awesome except for Lewis.
Sorry to dig up an old thread, anyone got any previews or insights on the match tonight vs Cornell? Looks like we are 0-5 all time per hokiesports but have come close to winning the past couple years. Do we have a good chance at a win tonight? I've never wrestled but definitely have been paying more attention since the Hokies have been good the past few years.
It's going to be a tough duel for sure. Without Bryce or Mekhi out there it'll be a difficult one to pull out. A few exciting matchups though (especially Latona, Henson, and Bolen)
So Coach must not have taken Mike Young's Day to Day Seminar.
"Robie said Lewis won't wrestle Friday nor in Sunday's matches against George Mason and American. But Robie said Lewis could be back for the team's Jan. 13 match at Appalachian State and will definitely be back for the Hokies' ACC opener on Jan. 20 against No. 6 North Carolina State at Cassell Coliseum."
"Robie said Andonian, who took third at 149 at the 2022 NCAAs, will not wrestle Friday nor Sunday. He won't wrestle at Appalachian State, either. But Robie expects Andonian to complete as an individual in a Jan. 15 tournament at Mount Union."

Glad Andonian is going to compete in a tournament. He is going to need matches to secure a bid to the NCAAs for the ACC.
Our Hokies begin ACC matches this Friday at NCSU and are currently rank #9 in the nation.
So far this season we are 6-2 in duels. With a close loss to OSU and a blowout loss to Cornell in B'burg.
Here are updates on our ranked guys.
