Little bit surprised about Moyston... DE is definitely a position of need and where pt should be available. *shrug*

Yeah stinks to be losing off the '22 class already but numbers work out however they do.

Bitter tweeted that they are at 84 scholarships now.
Odd given that these were positions where there was a short path to playing time, especially for Moyston. Maybe I am misreading the tea leaves but these were not names I was expecting to see.
I mean Hoyle was likely buried when the 6 freshman DB's come in so that's not too surprising.
Moyston is on the other hand, he played some last year and is so young. Maybe this was a case of the staff not seeing him as a long term contributor, I guess?
I think with Moyston you can possibly also read it this way...DE is obviously a position of tremendous need and if he wasn't pushing to be part of the rotation, it probably wasn't gonna happen in the future.
I think we definitely still want a DE in the Portal and fully expect DE to be a major priority in the '24 class. Seems as if he probably would have been passed up.
With Hoyle..he is a 3rd year guy who has barely seen the field..I expected either him or N. Johnson (also 3rd yr. S) to move on.
Sorta stinks, but this is the way of the "new" CFB--if by the 3rd Spring you arent in the 2-Deep, generally moving on. Hope both find success with wherever and whatever they choose in the future.

might not be leaving through the transfer portal, but some people may just no longer have a scholarship, but remain at Tech.
