It's rare I get VT games on tv, but Charter is showing a "regional" game right now that happens to be the Hokies. I can't decide if I'm excited about that or not.
As of now, 9:00 left in the first half and Tech is up 17-5. Miami seems unwilling and unable to penetrate our zone, and we're shooting fairly well as of now. Couple of threes for Emelogu, one (maybe two) for Barksdale.

It might be petty, but if we only get two acc wins this year in basketball, I am glad they came against Miami.
I'd prefer a conference sweep over UVA, Duke, UNC, Maryland, or Syracuse than Miami, but as far as OOC wins go, WVU was as sweet as it gets. Especially since our loss might legitimately burst their bubble come tournament time.
I would prefer them as well, but I actually hate Miami more than LolUVA. Hard to hate UVA when they are our whipping boy.

I would say they need to have more off days. They didn't practice Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and only had a players only practice Friday. You could tell they looked more refreshed and they were able to hang on at the end.
Glad to see the team get another W! The effort the last 2 games has been terrific. This is not a good basketball team by any means, but the fact that they go out there and give it everything despite their record is encouraging.
That being said, there is no way (in my mind) they win this game if Miami consistently tries to drive to the basket against the zone instead of shooting 34 threes. You could see it late in the second half, Miami was much more aggressive getting to the basket and they started to score pretty easily. Any win is a good win, though, especially for this team. Hopefully they can build some confidence and momentum off of their last 2 performances and maybe steal another win or two in conference. Let's go Hokies!
