ACC Roadtrip 2023 and Pry + Beamer interview

Haven't watched yet, but I'm assuming there's more Midnight Rider references.

Full thing is also available on ESPN watch. Watching it right now Jaylin Lane is a great guy first time I'd heard him talk publically. Super excited to see this offense. Hope the line can hold together because I think we've got enough at QB and TE and a whole lot at RB and WR this year

Frank is aging, I hate time.

I'm worried about QB. It's hard to have a good offense if the QB is below average, and I'm not sure there is an upper-echelon QB in contention right now. At least, I don't think Wells can be that guy and I don't know about Kiron, but that statement by Pry has me troubled.

With one being ahead and the other "catching up" that signifies coach speak for:

  • Wells is ahead and Kiron is starting to catch up (taking his word as accurate) OR
  • Wells is the guy and Kiron is not, but still want to have a competition throughout camp (keeping it coy and wanting Wells to continue to compete)

Cynic in me is that it's the latter and Kiron isn't picking up the playbook or isn't accurate enough.

Wells with half an oline is a competent enough qb to be dangerous. We couldn't do anything last year with our combination of oline and lack of wr adding at WR could mean a lot to this offense.

Trust me I'm still bearish on the team as a whole but there's a lot more potential here than last year imo.

Wait are those old clips for frank? I though he had to give up Hank, does he still have him?

He looks significantly younger in the videos walking hank and I'm positive I've seen those exact clips before so I think they were reused though I had no idea he had to give up hank

I think they're from when they renamed beamer way

Why did he have to give up Hank? I had not heard that. The boss boss will want to know...

"That's it guys. Let's get out of here. That cold drink's waitin' on us, let's go." - Mike Young after win no. 300.

I thought I remember reading an article about it, but basically getting old sucks and a dog is a bunch of work

Over on 247 the reason given was that he was traveling a lot and didn't think it was fair to Hank so he found a better home for him. 🤷‍♂️

Well, I hate to hear that. Makes me not love Frank quite as much honestly.

Hank may not have tolerated traveling very well. I've got just about the best dog of my life right now, but he does not enjoy car rides the way a lot of others have.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

And Frank is going down to Colombia a lot. That's tough and honestly not fair to the dog if they don't travel well.

Edit: also I'm just happy to hear that Hank is still kicking. When I first heard Frank didn't have Hank a year or two ago I thought the poor guy passed.

We fostered a dog that had heart worm so couldn't adopt him out until fixed, it was a mess, had him a year, got lots of treatment but hated the car and vomited every trip over 7 minutes. We had to take him loudoun to 7 corners so they could bus him to purceville. Poor guy. He know lives in DC with another dog that pukes in the car. So works for them and he is living his best life.
