Pry says TE Nick Gallo has had season-ending surgery. #Hokies— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) September 5, 2023
It was a knee injury for TE Nick Gallo. Non-contact play in preseason scrimmage. Landed awkwardly after going up to make a catch. He could apply for a medical redshirt and return. The #Hokies haven't gotten that far down the road with it yet. Obviously, Gallo would want to.— Andy Bitter (@AndyBitterVT) September 5, 2023
Well, that's not great. Hope he gets better, and maybe he can continue his career next year, if he decides to.

That is a bummer. Benji Gosnell struggled quiet a bit blocking, especially in the red zone. He is going to be really good, but has to improve his base and leg drive. He got pinballed a couple of times in my review where the OL blocking was pretty good. Gallo has had up and downs, but for the most part has been a very effective blocker minus the beginning of last year.
