Can another NC team knock off an overrated Top Ten team again in Week 2? Probably not, but I'd love to see it.
Purdue at VIRGINIA TECH (VT -2.5)
Can we beat a team with a TV payout worth more than 11 times of the entirety of the Sun Belt Conference? ($80 million Team FLOOR Vs. $7 million Conference TOTAL) I hope so.

Inferior maroon meets inferior birds.
Iowa at Iowa St (Iowa -3.5)
The most badass thing about Iowa is that it not only had a battleship named after it, but an entire class of them.

Bama gets an opponent with a pulse (according to the polls).

Man this is a tough week. I only have one easy pick (because, as is tradition, I always pick against the Hokies..which makes me sad :(...)
(10) Notre Dame at NC State (ND -7.5) - ND hasn't played anybody with a pulse yet so it's hard to know if they are legitimately good or fraudulent. I hate ND for many, many reasons, but I like their current coach. NC State struggled with UConn in game one. I don't think they'll iron out all the kinks enough in just one week. I think if NC State played ND in week 5 or 6 it might be a different story. ND wins this one fairly comfortably.
Purdue at VIRGINIA TECH (VT -2.5) - I sincerely hope the Hokies prove me wrong here and win
(23) Texas A&M at Miami (aTm -4.5) - both of these teams beat up on cupcakes in week one. I think AtM is the better team but I bet Miami keeps it closer than we think
Iowa at Iowa St (Iowa -3.5) - until proven otherwise, I don't trust Iowa's offense.
(11) Texas at (3) Alabama (Bama -7.5) - Nick Saban is going to want to give Texas a very painful "welcome to the SEC" type of beat down. And if there is a coach who can do that at will, it's Saban.
(13) Oregon at Texas Tech (Oregon -6.5) - Oregon scores lots of points. Especially against teams that aren't ranked. Texas Tech just gave up 35 points to Wyoming in a loss. I think Oregon will win by 3 scores at least.
Harman playing QB for ND will carry them far. He's a great QB and can elevate that team past most teams they play.

Tammies?
During all of the App St Midnight Yell controversy last year I saw some rivals schools call A&M fans Tammies and I just thought it was perfect and have continued to refer to them as such.

In the latest episode of "Picksburg"......The Irishmen go into the woods and collect wolf pelts while back in town a strange orange & maroon substance gums up the boiler makers equipment. Meanwhile, a hurricane blows over Tammies house and causes a tide to wash out Long Horn Ranch. This forces the Red Raiders to flee allowing a flock of ducks to take over their territory.
