FIU uniforms are ....... not good.
Seems like a coordinated effort for Miami's teams
Fully agree, bold choice by FIU. Not one that I'd make, but bold none the less.
Still better than Iowa State.
Iowa State was going for the Jack Trice era look. You're not going to milk a pretty uniform out of the fugly sacks of shit they used to wear on the gridiron, so whatever arbitrary surplus colors their fullers had at the time are going to be what they wear now.

Pretty sure the Miami schools are somewhere in the vicinity of a Miami Vice/Out Run aesthetic. Probably could have been done better on both counts, but it's Miami enough for me (and they were at least smart enough to wear these during night games. Isn't that right, UCF?)
How much does Jerry Kill want to run it up against Corny tonight?
I'd say he's doing a good job punching them in the mouth
The evil part of me just giggles...
Don't look now, but SHSU has over 100 yards of offense! In the first half!
Few things bring me as much joy as seeing Cornelsen completely stink it up at another program
Corny, don't miss ya bud.
I wonder how long he'll last out in the wild without his buddy protecting him
The head coach, Keeler, is 82-33 since 2014. This is easily his worst season in 10 years. You gotta think he's realized he fucked up by hiring Corny.
Ha, ha, thinking the same thing. I logged on just to post what was the over-under for how long Corn lasts. Will he last a full season? My guess was yes, but not much longer than that.
I mean good P5 OCs don't come available very often, so why would you think some one that was at a P5 job would take a job like Sam Houston.
Gotta love Wednesday night games.
I kinda dig the lambo celebration
Oh, I loved it. It's the most Miami thing ever to bring a Lambo out. Great seeing the opposing team dunk on them.
Bringing a lamborghini to the field begs for this.
Congrats to UTEP for figuring it out.
Well that was a helluva ending for WVU
HOLY COW
Epic meltdown
Holy whatever. I turned it off after west by God scored. Checked MGM and had a win for Houston on the moneyline this morning. Nice.
Not yet started but I'll be weirdly interested in UMass @ Penn St (-41.5) this week with an O/U of 54. Will Penn St pull the starters in quarter 2 to prepare for Ohio St? Will the week off justify them not pulling the starters? Will they cover in 1 quarter? Does the second string cover anyway?
Will UMass get to pull out the turnover tripoint hat?

That celebration is highly revered.
Ha
Hear yea, Hear yea.
This is not the Dad joke thread.
Avoid Penn State like the plague- Franklin has played to the betting line for no reason TWICE this season. He knows the lines. Avoid. Hes a douche bag.
its in a pick em i don't touch 3+ td games
Especially w weather coming in. Will they attempt to score at all, or just win by 22?
If Franklin is close- he will throw a post pattern to go over. Or he will kick a meaningless FG with no bearing on the game. The Prick knows the lines. 100%
Dammit I should have listened
Honest question - I'm looking at the summary from the WVU/Houston game and besides the crazy ending to make it 41-39, did Houston have to do the point after try or did they just say forget it? I dont see anything in the play by play that shows that they actually did. Not asking for because they needed another point, but that would have been at least a miracle opportunity for WVU to potentially recover the ball and return it for 2 on the point after attempt (either kick or going for 2). I dont think Dana would have been an idiot and actually try to score (*cough* Miami), but I didn't think they had the option to decline the try.
For some reason I thought that if there was zero on the clock when you scored then you did not have to attempt the point after if ahead, only if tied or needed to tie.
This is the explanation the announcers gave. Neal Brown was fighting for Houston to go for the XP because a return would have tied the game. But since the touchdown gave Houston the lead, the rules say the game is over. Not sure I agree with that rule. I kinda get it because non-Mario teams will just kneel.
Wow... that's actually the rule:
Opportunity to Score
ARTICLE 2. A try is an opportunity for either team to score one or two
points while the game clock is stopped after a touchdown or in the third
or subsequent extra period(s). It is a special interval in the game which, for
purposes of penalty enforcement only, includes both a down and the "ready''
period that precedes it.
a. The ball shall be put in play by the team that scored a six-point touchdown.
If a touchdown is scored during a down in which time in the fourth period
expires, the try shall not be attempted unless the point(s) would affect the
outcome of the game. (Exception: If the scoring team is ahead by one or
two points, they have the option to forego the try.)
That's a nuance to the rule that needs to be changed.
also, the NFL does NOT have that exception in their rule book from what I read.
You can waive it if up by 3 or more. But not sure what happened last night. There's a chance WVU just vacated the field...and Houston stormed the field, making it impossible to line up for it.
According to an article, WVU begged them to force the try, but the refs refused and went to the locker room.
Really hoping Washington wins. They are the only team that has even a remote chance of winning it all that I truly like. Nothing really against Georgia, but getting tired of them like I was getting tried of seeing Alabama and Clemson year after year at the top.
Outside of Washington and a little bit for Ohio State, the top 12 is a bunch of teams that I either am meh about (e.g., Oregon, Georgia), dislike (e.g., Michigan, Oklahoma) or truly despise (e.g., Penn State).
Like Ohio State somewhat because they pretty consistently beat Penn State, Notre Dame and (until recently) Michigan.
Nah I took Oregon Moneyline. Bo knows
Oregon is my dark horse to win it all
That's a good pick I'm gonna go put some on that right now
Their fans are trash, and bark at children
So cups not a thing anymore?
(RE: Tulane - Memphis, 4th qtr nut shot ejection)
Bad camera angles but here it is for those that missed it:
Should be suspended for the season by the league and, if the coach has any balls (pun intended) should be kicked off the team.
Right through that Stanford receivers arms. Lol
29 down and one win Stanford storms back to win in 2OT 46-43.
I might be alone on this one but I love seeing this.
I'm alright with Colorado taking lumps after everyone in the media anointed them week 1.
Go(almost)ACC?.....
Went to bed and Colorado was up 29-0
Wake up and they've lost. Wtf
Same. I thought my Friday night winners parlay was in the bag
Keon Coleman just had an absolutely amazing catch, ..then proceeded to fumble the ball the very next play. Lol
Got a bunch of family at the jmu/gs game (2 sisters went to jmu and a brother in law went to gs).... feel sorry for my BIL watching this is person
Alabama Arkansas is about the only close game in the early frame.
Man, JMU is winning me a good chunk of money this season
I've been riding Washington.
Can't spell Washington without wagon
Hey, we're better than Syracuse at least
Just putting it out there that, despite our record, we did WAY better against FSU than a 4-2 Syracuse team is doing.
Also, (not a week 7 game, but related topic) we held FSU to fewer points than LSU did.
Yeah I think we are certainly better than our current record, but execution errors and needing to pivot on our offensive playbook a few games into the season probably make us look worse than we truly are.
Oregon up by 4 with 2 minutes to go goes for it on 4th and 3 near midfield. Washington stops them. Gutsy call, though I actually agreed with the call to go for it. I'd want that offense to try and win it rather than count on the defense there.
And Washington takes the lead in 2 plays!
Did they leave too much time is the question.
Washington scores, but leaves almost 2:00 on the clock...
Looking to be a Great finish.
Edit: I'm drinking tea (doing a Sober October here!)
Yeah I'll be surprised if Oregon does not score. FG or TD is my question.
Really happy to be surprised. I still have a team I really like in the running to win it all.

LOL Nope!
100 percent the right call. Think about the options:
See the ever classy Coach Franklin had his team put up a 63-0 against UMass.
I so hope Ohio State beats them into the ground next week.
Oregon misses a last second FG with a chance to tie. Washington and Oregon both looked really good today
Illinois beat MD on a walk off FG. Good. F Maryland
Y'all know what the biggest travesty is? The PAC-12 is legit loaded this year, and Washington-Oregon just finished what will be one of the best games of the year. And the whole conference is dead next year. Screw ESPN and Fox for ruining this sport.
Preach brother. This is both the best conference and the most fun to watch this season.
Related: fuck USC and Go Irish! (Just for tonight tho)
Let's get settled in for the battle of the cheaters! UNC and Miami! Old Uncle Mack, rules should apply to others but not to me!
We don't typically fight Miami for recruits, so I'll be a Miami fan tonight!
But...but...they're still miami, you know
In your #goacc moment for the night Pitt is beating Louisville...
Louisville getting the full Pitt experience right now. Terrible team, terrible stadium, randomly beats some ranked team and then collapses back to irrelevance.
Or, as the Shutdown Fullcast refers to it, the Pitt super weapon charges all season to be unleashed on some unsuspecting team, only to go dormant again until the next season.
Pitt currently up on Loserville 31-21 at the end of the 3rd.
Miami UNC near end of half. Miami trying to call timeout but officials aren't recognizing it. They charge them the timeout but also call an unsportsmanlike penalty on the Assistant coach so instead of UNCHEAT being 4th and 1 at 21, it's first down half the distance to the goal which led to the tying touchdown before half. Not sure how he could be called for the penalty if they recognized the timeout. Also means Miami has one fewer timeout to drive for a score before halftime.
Unsportsmanlike can be a dead ball foul, as it was in this case. I'm pretty sure it was for something said by the assistant coach who ran out on the field.
I'm trying to work up a tear for Miami.
No, I'm sorry. Can't manage one.
Tbh I kind of hope Pitt loses just to watch the absolute deluge of salt from Naduzzi.
Agreed...this game shows that Lousiville is beatable..but Fuck Narduzzi
What happened to Arizona? They are on fire
I really thought these were going to be great games in the prime time slots.
Miami suuuucks. My gawd. I think I hate unc more than uva. Maybe because they're good? Or maybe because I live 20 min away? Or maybe because those whiney ass bitches cheat and complain and never get in trouble for it?
How 'bout all of the above
Well I need miami to rifle off 21 straight in 11 min. 🤞
Tbh, I'd like to see them both lose and be banned from playing fbs football for the next 50 years
I don't enjoy hearing Armani Chatman's name over and over.
They're almost on pace... if they get every onside kick.
Facts
I mean, I thought usc was going to absolutely crush nd. Oh well
Miamis defense is soft af
I really really hate Miami. A lot. And I am slightly disappointed that UNC beat them. Not sure what that means.
I'm right there with you. I love watching miami lose, but I hate seeing UNC win.
That makes 3 of us, at least
Pitt over Louisville, us over Wake, Duke over nc state. ... Slowly poisoning the entire ACC with what's left of coastal chaos.
Is Shane headed towards his seat getting warm?
My pickem think he should be, I got robbed
I wouldn't think so, not quite this soon. Especially coming off of last seasons hype. And they did lose a lot talent wise.... I'd say next season, if things aren't going well then we could expect to see some rumors of his seat getting hot
Also, I think he's got a decent recruiting class coming in. He's landed a 5 star to boot.
