I'm looking for 4 tix to
PittWake game. Let me know if you have some you need to offload: dmcross [AT] vt (dot) eduI see Joe shut down my thread; so I came here just to say that I decided not to wait for for someone to offer tickets. Went ahead and bought seats from the VT web site. Would still be interested in a parking pass for the Pitt game if anyone has one available.
Plenty of non-University parking around if you don't specifically need one of the Tech lots.
I parked at the church on the corner of Main and Turner last year. I believe we paid $40 and it included access to the church bathrooms which are 100% nicer than port-o-potties. We bought it day of but I know a lot of the other independent lots around town have websites so that you can buy in advance if you don't want to have that worry on gameday.
Is there a link to a website or do you have search randomly on google maps?
Honestly we just drive around downtown/those neighborhoods near the Blacksburg library and find a spot. We've parked at that church a bunch. The restrooms are nice and they have no issue with you tailgating.
This is what I did too. But parked even further away, up the hill, where street parking for free was allowed. Yeah, walked a mile+ each way, but I'm fine with that.
The lions club runs a bunch of lots. They took over the lot we were in.
Jacked up the prices when they did it. But, we do have portajohns now.
I left you a note on your thread before I did. 😅
I did not mean to sound like I was complaining. I just wanted to take down my request for tickets, since I had purchased on line.
I am taking my wife to her first Blacksburg home game for ODU. I was hoping to get a parking pass, can anyone advise the best way to get a parking pass or is it fairly easy to get parking near the stadium? Any advice on what how far before the game I should plan to get there for parking that isn't too much of a hike so we can walk around and let her see the tailgate scene before we make it in for Sandman?
Same here, taking my kids to their first Hokie game vs ODU. Tickets were no problem but we're going with another couple who also have kids and would ideally like to park together. Parking passes might be hard to come by on campus, but is there a good solution that isn't too far from the stadium (3 of the kids are 5 years old)?
The closest would probably be that neighborhood on the other side of stadium woods or around the library. That's not too bad of a walk but they do get right with the gameday parties over there. If you're not worried about your kids being around all that I'd say that's probably the best option if you don't wanna pay through the nose for a parking pass.
I've got 2 tickets for sale for Purdue. Section 505, Row B.
Dead center South Endzone. 2nd row of 2nd deck. AKA just off the concourse
Anyone have 5 tickets to the NC State game? Planning to bring my kids to a game for the first time!
Still looking for tickets. I haven't been to a game in a long time, any recommendations for where to get tickets?
Here or local alumni groups. I usually have better luck when the game gets within a week or so.
ISO Lot 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 Parking Pass for ODU Game.
@gmail, use my screen name. Thanks, Go Hokies!
I am thinking it's safe to put whole emails in the comments now that Joe went full paywall.
Yikes! I found out yesterday that a friend who usually buys some season tickets from me had a....well let's just call it a "significantly negative life event" and told me they can't get the tickets this year. I'd rather sell to FAM than to just openly post so let me know if you are interested in 4 tickets (season block), West Side, Section 10. Not looking to make money, just don't want to lose money. You can hit me up at stevet018 (a) gmail (dot) com.
Sold
Not exactly a ticket question, but....I'm getting together with a group of friends for the Purdue game in a couple weeks and I was wondering if the official (unofficial?) TKP tailgate in lot 18 is happening? Thought maybe we'd crash the tailgate (bringing our own alcohol and food, of course)
Paging LancerHokie and HokieEnginerd...
too soon?
too soon
I will be there for Purdue, but this is my first trip to lot 18, so I'm not sure what the situation is either.
Maybe you and I both will show up looking lost
Showing up lost is my default.
They will be there ready to welcome you like the good humans they are. I potentially will be up there for Perdue.
So there's gonna be chicken?
This brings up a deep metaphysical question:
if a TKP tailgate get's thrown in Lot 18, but noone can coordinate it on TKP, is it still a TKP tailgate?
Yes because we always bring the servers with us into the parking lot.
They will be there ready to welcome you like the good humans they are. I potentially will be up there for Perdue.
Edit: Told y'all twice so it's even more nice.
Coming to my first game in 40 years this week end. I would like to meet the group in lot 18. Two questions: Is Lot 18 the lot number 18 on the VT Map, on Smithfield Road? How do I find the group since I assume they are no longer flying the TKP flag.
Another question. Since I have not been to Blacksburg in almost 20 years since we brought my younger daughter for a campus visit, I have no idea what to do all day Saturday. Are there activities on campus? We will probably walk around campus, visit the bookstore; maybe get a rail at TOTS. Is it possible to get a table at a restaurant in walking distance of Lane for dinner Sat before the game?
Any other advice for an old man on how to structure the visit.
Thank you.
You are looking for Duckpond Dr and Smithfield Rd. The Lot 18 group will be set up upon the guardrail, closest to the creek. They usually have Flags, Trailer, Tv, etc. As for activities, for sure there are things going on but hopefully someone else can answer because I don't know. Campus is always buzzing though, visitors going all over the stores and downtown so you should be able to stay busy.
I'm seeking parking passes for Wake Forest and Syracuse.

Bringing the fam for Wake. Looking for 4 tickets.
rstraz at gmail dot com
Thanks.
If anyone's looking to let go of a nose bleed south end zone seat for the ODU game, I have a friend that can go now looking to sit with us.
Looking for four tickets for Purdue. Needs to be 4 year old and 2 year old friendly. Taking the kids to keep their streaks going.
Edit: tickets acquired. Might be in the market for a parking pass. Rest of the family is near Hahn hall. Proximity to that would be nice.
And there goes Stroman, SOB!
Wrong thread?
The computers put my comment in the wrong thread!
Reminder that I've got 2 good Purdue tickets if anybody wants them. Time to go 2-0!
I have 1 ticket to the Purdue game. I can't make it to the game unfortunately. The ticket is Home side, Section 4R, Row W, Seat 7. Its in between the 10 and 20 yard line next to the tunnel.

Looking to dabble in masochism and pick up tickets to the game at Louisville and I can not recall the secondary market website people here seemed to prefer. Anyone have some strong feelings towards one?
A lot of people recommended tickpick.
We're trying to go too, and I saw good prices on Gametime. It's been my go-to lately

If this is still available and depending on where/what side of the lake you're on, my in-laws are driving back to Roanoke from there tomorrow and I could put that to good use.
I have six tickets to FSU game looking to sell. Wife surprised me with birthday trip for us to get away for the week and won't be back in time.
Can we also ask about hotels in this thread, too? I have tickets to Wake (14 Oct) for my daughter and I, but not a hotel. Anybody know somebody that is cancelling their hotel room, or know of a hotel that has space available? Please let me know.
I'm not even sure what the best way of getting a hotel at this point is, save for calling every hotel individually. If anybody has a better idea for a way to get a hotel for that weekend, I would love to hear that as well.
Not sure which direction you're coming from, but usually there are some hotels around Salem, 15 minutes north of Christiansburg. Might be 2-night minimum on some.
You misspelled a solid 35-40 minutes Salem to BBurg/C Burg. It's not 15 under any circumstances.
Yah, 15 minutes is going to get you reckless driving.
Definitely closer to 30 minutes on a non-game day situation.
I did make it from Richmond to Lot 18 in two hour 45 minutes (6am-845am) for the Purdue
Delugegame...I may or may not have exceeded the posted peed limit by just a tad....
(In fairness, my (V-6 3.6 liter) Charger really does not like going less than 80)
I drove to Conch Key (Middle Keys area of FL) from Indialantic, FL a day after Hurricane Wilma crossed the southern part of the state to help a VT fraternity brother refurbish his house after the entire island was under water for 24 hours. This was October 2005.
All tolls on the FL Turnpike were off. The damage where the hurricane eye crossed was unbelievable. Roads were clear though. Emergency personnel were pretty slammed.
In my packed to the gills 1986 Nissan 300ZX I made the trip in 2 hours, 45 minutes.
Timed it today from passing the 581 exit on 81 to parked in lot 18- thirty three minutes (coulda been 29-30 if not for some slow idiots doing 45 for a bit in the Salem-Ironto stretch.
Total time from my house in western henrico to lot 18 was 2 hours 53 for 211 miles even with slow driver's periodically.
15 minutes further between I-81 exits. It is about 35 minutes from stadium to hotel (sans traffic).
If you are coming from the northeast, could consider staying way out by Troutville/Daleville off I81. I've done that, never had trouble finding a hotel, and you are closer to home if you leave from there. If you take the back way in on Blacksburg Road, it is not jammed up either. Yes, it is a bit of a drive, but way less expensive.
I've got one single for this weekend vs Pitt.
South End Zone. Dead center.
Hey everyone! I'm looking for a parking pass for the Wake game. Bringing my kids for the first time so anything as close to the stadium as possible would be awesome!

Looking for 4 tix to NC State. Parking pass, if available, especially with that crazy bunch in LOT 18! Thanks!

Something came up with work to where I am not able to make it to the @Louisville game on 11/4. We just received the tickets in the mail and they are in section 102 row U. I'd prefer to sell them to another Hokie instead of supporting the dirty birdies.
If you are interested, please send me an email at blairallenvt [AT] gmail (dot) com.
Anyone know the best way to get tickets for the UVA game? SeatGeek tickets are $65/EA with $28/ea in fees. Need 4 of them.
I think if you show up at the door, they'll give you a t-shirt from the 2018 season and a voucher for a hot dog.
I have one extra ticket to the Syracuse game, Section 508 Row W Seat 4. Face value, $25.tickets [at] smith-email (dot) netIn search of 2 tickets to the NC St game*Deleted
Thank you my friend.
Happy to contribute to the cause. Just wish I could have made it and caught up with ya, you elusive bastard.
True story, people from my own group didn't recognize me at first when they saw me. I really need to shave and haircut.
Your avatar is just a selfie, huh? LOL.
Anyone have a parking pass, or know of a parking pass for the Syracuse game Thursday?
My wife and I do for Lot 9. Price is negotiable =)
I have one ticket for Syracuse available. Section 9, Row KKK. Face value is $75.
Toddp99 at gmail
EDIT: I also have a parking pass in the Lion's Club lot (paid $80). Make me an offer on either or both. Hate to see them unused.

Row KKK?
Does UVA not give Tech an allotment of away tickets for the game? I see nothing on Tech's website and UVA's indicates you have to be a donor to purchase single game tickets lol.
The deadline to order away game tickets through VT was back in July.
Oh, so I'm just a month or two behind the eightball...
It says "at this time", so keep checking. I'm sure they'll have a deadline for donors to buy the remaining seats, and if any are still left, they'll open them up to the public. Sure, they are "giant killers" now, but that'll just mean 5 additional tickets are sold.
Stub Hub yall its 2023, come on.
Certainly, however I always attempt to buy direct first and utilize resale sites second.
Ah yes, I love paying more in fees than the ticket itself.
The week before the game you will get a ticket with any $50 purchase at a Cville Food Lion.
Wife and I have a parking pass for sale in Lot 9 Litton-Reaves Lot. Price is negotiable! (For Thursday night vs. Syracuse).
I'm interested. Honestly I don't know what parking passes go for there/anywhere, so I don't want to insult you right off the bat with a dumb offer. If you want to chat via phone/email, you can reach out to me at soukupbm at gmail.
For comparison, I think I paid $25 or $30 to park in the Prices Fork parking garage for Pitt. It's all the way on the other side of campus; but we wanted to walk around the campus and town anyway. And Lot 18 is not too far out of the way if you want to stop by and meet some TKPers.
How is the availability at that garage? I was just informed by SeatGeek that my parking pass for Thursday's game will not be coming. Any chance I can get a spot on Thursday?
The entire level I parked on for Purdue was empty.
Pitt was a sell out and I think there was plenty of room. But we got there early. When we finally got back to the car after the game, it did not seem that the garage had been full.
Some games some lots sell for over 200 a lot of games the closet lots sell for close to 100. Farther out lord go for 20-75.
Hey, Sorry for the late response. The parking pass was sold today while I was at work to another hokie fan on facebook by my wife. I am sorry for the inconvenience!
I have a Lot 12 parking pass $25 plus paying for overnight delivery to you for Syracuse game.

Got a single extra ticket for tonight. 204 SEZ row C. Message if any interest.
Seatgeek had $20 tickets row L around the 40 in the west stands day before the game. Was really tempted but had family stuff during the day Thursday and wouldn't have been able to make the game.

Looking for an additional 1 to 2 NC State tickets.

Willing to split the tickets?
I can. Shoot me an email.
Heads up APFOW - my son's going to partake in the Thanksgating happenings at lot 18 so I passed along your email to him. Not sure if he needs tix but he'll be interested in the lot pass.
I haven't gotten anything yet, and I just had someone else ask about it.
Edit: Sorry, bud. I didn't see this until someone else made contact and claimed it. Next time send me an email right away and I'll hold it.
I am bringing my two NCSU boys to the VT/NCSU game and want to make sure they come away duly impressed. Would love to find a lot 1 or lot 2 parking pass. 3, 5 or 8 would work in a pinch.
LMK if you've got anything available. Thanks!

Not football but anyone want free mid court men's basketball tickets for tomorrow night?
ninatrott dot comcast dot net
Probably a dumb question, but I assume it won't be hard to find tickets for UVA, right? I've never actually been to a game in Charlottesville but the fam is doing Thanksgiving in that general area and we're thinking about going if it's a nooner.
My current understanding is that those tickets are actually going for mid to premium prices. Seems that the hoos in hooville know they can make a 💰off of Hokies looking to fill Lane North. Good luck.
Damn dirty hoos.
Some ticket prices have doubled since Saturday. It's ridiculous.
Edit: meanwhile you can get UVA Duke tickets for $16. Tech fans need to band together to drive prices down next time. No one buy until 15min before kickoff.
Anybody have a parking pass for NCSU available? Ideally lot 9 or 16, but not picky. I usually park in town, but would like to get closer to some tailgating friends for this one since I am bringing kids.
Headed to the NC State game and was able to get a parking pass in Lot 8. I haven't been to a game in over a decade and I'm bringing my three young kids so figured I'd see if anyone has any advice/tips for tailgating, e.g. how early does it fill up, traffic getting in, potential for getting a perimeter spot so kids can play in the grass, etc.
Well, this is awkward. I'm going to be able to make the game after all. Looking for a Lot 18 parking pass.

There are ways to cheat
Not that I have done this but if you drive down Smithfield Rd to the obstacle course there is an unmanned entrance.
Just saw there is a men's basketball game Sunday evening early enough I could take my 12 year old to the first half before driving to Roanoke Airport. I've never seen a game in Cassell where should I buy decent tickets (both location in stands and website)?
Everything seems to funneling through seat geek now.
Anyone got a line on UVA tickets? $74 for tickets whose season ticket package cost is $129 is a bit absurd, plus the $30 fees from Seatgeek.
Rivalry games will get after ya
Yeah iirc this was like a targeted effort to make more money off of this game assumingly because they know the VT fans will fill
ScottLane Stadium NorthYep, I paid $203 all in on stubhub for my two tickets. Oh well.
Welp, the old man up and caught the Rona. So, don't think I am going to make the UVA game. As such, I have 4 tickets for anyone interested.
